One of the hardest things for us to understand is that the "dragon," "serpent," "devil," and "Satan" (in Genesis 3:1) are not a creature with a tail and horns. They represent an adversary, just as Peter was an adversary to Immanuel when Immanuel told him in Matthew 16:23 ("Get behind me, Satan"). He called him Satan. Immanuel said in Matthew 12:30, "He that is not with me is against me."
By definition, he who is not with Christ is an antichrist. John said (1 John 2:18), "even now there are many Antichrists." Anybody can be a Satan. Peter was a Satan. You and I can be Satan. And many times, we are adversaries to the Cross. There are many Christians who are greater antichrists than the Edomites.
