Wedding Reception Dreams Come True

So decisions decisions, what do you do with the massive amount of flowers that my daughter and I wanted at her wedding and wedding reception, after the event?
Well for me, since I love flowers so much there was no way I was having them go into the trash!

So at the end of the reception we gathered every flower we could out of all of the bouquets into two large plastic buckets with water in them.
And of we did have one large glass vase for my daughter's bouquet.

We kept them out in the cool of the car while we were at the hotel that night and the next day we drove home.
We were pretty lucky that it was very cool April day when we brought them home.

So I did give away some of them the first night and the next day to a few people.
The rest of them went in all the glass vases and containers I could find.

If I hadn’t been so exhausted and tired from staying at the hotel and then coming back home, I would’ve really tried to give more of these flowers away.

Oh well, I really enjoyed looking at these flowers out my kitchen window the whole last week.
They stayed really fresh and beautiful looking for more than a week!
Of course I changed out the water in the vases during the week.

My next post will be showing details versions of all the flowers.

Here is my daughter holding her beautiful bouquet and bridesmaids!

Note to any friends that follow my blog - my daughter got married in her backyard last April during Covid with only 7 guests. This April, she and her husband renewed their vows complete with her Dad walking her down the aisle(pathway) and had their original, big, beautiful wedding reception at a lovely venue with 70 guests.

Have a Blessed Day!
