COMPLEX PROBLEM SOLVING

Hey guys, it's me again and uhmm this time i want to just touch briefly on complex problem cos we tend to meet or encounter issues of such everyday in our activities so i thought to my self why not share or throw a little light on it. When we talk about problem solving it is wide and we can not talk about it today.

Complex problem are those that require the ability to approach them from mutiple, sometimes competing, perspective and which may have multiple solutions. Complex problem are not static issues that appears chaotic at first sight and seem intractable, situation that are complex have ma y different parts and are therefore often difficult to understand.

 COMPLEX VS COMPLICATED PROBLEM

Complex problem are often confounding without a clear, straight path to a solution and you can only know that you've found an effective strategy once it works while complicated problem have straight line, step by step solution that can be implemented by expert with necessary skills and experience.

COMPLEX VS SIMPLE PROBLEM SOLVING
A key difference between complex and simple problem solving is the amount and the kind of consideration that you must acknowledge.
COMPLEX ( consideration)
*Scope of problem
*Impact of the problem
*Resource availability
*Potential changes to the solution
*Potential solution
*Optimal solution
*Impact of optimal solution
*Ways of implementing solution
*Success measurement metrics

SIMPLE ( consideration)
*Scope of the problem
*Resource availability
*Potential solution
*Optimal solution
*Ways of implementing solution

HOW TO SOLVE COMPLEX PROBLEM
*Identify the problem and its cause
*Consider impact of problem
*Brain storm solution
*Consider impacts and choose solution
*implement solution and prepare for change

So let drop this parting thoughts you know before deciding how you solve a significant problem, you must first recognize what kind of problem it is; complex or complicated. successful complex problem solving starts with making the distinction and then choosing your approach accordingly.
