Hello everyone. I am pleased to address you all and be a part of the Newbies Initiative.
First, I would like to thank the team who organized this Initiative and for including me in it. I am very happy about it and I am looking forward to learning more about Hive and growing this fantastic crypto community.
As a part of the first task, in this post, I will talk about my Hive goals in detail and strategize about potential ways of achieving them within the next 2 months (while the Newbies Initiative is ongoing).
What is goal setting to you?
For me, goal setting is a way in which one can establish one’s desires in a simple, measurable, and attainable manner. That includes that the goals that are set are realistic for the given time frame.
“Most people overestimate what they can achieve in a year
and underestimate what they can achieve in ten years.” - Roy Amara
Why do you need to set smart goals?
It’s necessary for me to set S.M.A.R.T. (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Timely) goals in order to make sure that I am on the right track every time I review them and to be able to evaluate the process as I am going along.
What are your goals as regards your Hive power, your followers, your engagement, your consistency, and any other goals as a newbie here on Hive? What strategies do you want to put in place to achieve your goals?
Now it’s time to address the goals individually.
Hive Power (HP)
Currently, I have 459.448 HP and my goal is to reach 750 HP in the next two months. I will achieve this goal by powering up my account on May 1st (Power Up Day) as well as June 1st with 100 Hive every month. Remaining 90.552 HP I will obtain through regular posting of my paintings as well as occasional articles about art and painting.Followers
At the moment, I have 22 followers and I would like to have 50 followers by the end of the Newbies Initiative. This is more than a 100% increase, however, I firmly believe that with active posting and the quality of articles people interested in the topics of art and painting will start to come together. On top of that, I plan on becoming more active in engaging with other people’s posts and developing relationships with other community members.Engagement
In the last two months (since I came back to Hive and actually figured out how to use it) I made 281 comments. My plan for the next two months is to engage even more and reach the target of 650 comments. That means that on average I have to make 6 comments per day, which is an easy task because there are often more than 6 interesting articles published per day in the communities I am active in.Consistency
My plan was to make sure to publish at least 3 posts per week, although so far I have managed to post more frequently than that. Therefore, I will increase this goal and say 5 posts per week in the next two months. In order to take things to a next level, I want to get the “monthly author” for the month of May. That in May I will publish one artwork of mine every single day.Other goals (HBD)
In the last two months, I managed to gather 10 HBD. In the following two months, I want to achieve to get an additional 20 HBD and put them in the savings, making it a total of 30 HBD. I plan on achieving this by posting quality material, and by commenting sensibly on other people’s posts. Hopefully, that will be enough to get the author’s rewards in HBD.
Analyze the goals above, what makes them SMART GOALS?
All of the goals mentioned above are Specific (we are talking about exact numbers), Measurable (we can follow the progress and see how well I am doing on each of the goals set), Attainable (I believe the goals are attainable if I follow the plan, certain modification might be needed once the results of the next two weeks or a month come in), Realistic (everything mentioned above is realistic and possible), and Timely (all of the goals are set having in mind the end of the Newbies Initiative in two months).
Thank you everyone for taking the time to read through my plan and goals for the following two months.
Special thanks to my team leader @depressedfuckup, my team members as well as @theycallmedan, and the @aliento team for their support in the @newbies-hive
Stay tuned for the progress of these goals, as well as some interesting paintings and art-related articles.
Truly yours,
Tui Sada
