In this Digital era, when everything is available on digital platform, the social media influencer is playing a key role in influencing the young masses. Lately, with different social media platform the number of these influencer have increased significantly. I sometime doubts on their capability or authenticity. They do speak put some nice motivational words but have they ever applied them in their life. It is easy to talk but hard to implement when it comes to differrnt situation. But these social media influencer have found a great way make money while I fluencing other through their videos, or podcasts.

A social media influencer's job involves creating and sharing content to build an audience and establish expertise in a specific niche. They also collaborate with brands to promote products or services. A good social media influencer should possess qualities like authenticity, creativity, strong personality, consistency, relatability, engagement with their audience, expertise in their niche, responsiveness to comments, and a strong understanding of their target market; essentially, they need to be able to produce high-quality content that resonates with their followers while maintaining a genuine connection with them.

Key qualities of a good social media influencer:

1. Authenticity: Presenting themselves honestly and genuinely to build trust with their audience.

2. Creativity: Ability to produce unique and engaging content that stands out.

3. Consistency: Regularly posting high-quality content to maintain audience engagement.

4. Relatability: Having a personality and experiences that resonate with their followers.

5. Niche Expertise: Deep knowledge and understanding of their specific area of focus.

6. Community Building: Actively engaging with followers through comments, replies, and interactions.

6. Responsiveness: Promptly addressing comments and messages from their audience.

In a nutshell, we can summ up as , someone who create and share content on social media channels to establish their expertise and build relationships with their followers. They may film and photograph images and videos, write captions, and respond to comments and messages are called as influencers.

It is not everybody cuppa cake.

What looks so easy and lucrative is not easy at all. Just count the number of influencers who are pretry successful in their stint. I remember, during the craze of #dtube videos on #hive, I took a lot of time to face the camera and recording videos. Speaking in without camera and doing that in front of camera are two differrnt aspect. It is not at all easy for someone to straight face the camera. There are hesitation, shyness and as you see yourself on camera while recording you have to keep focus. Garnering , huge audience for the content require time and patience. However, Anyone with a large or engaged social media following can be an influencer, as long as they can influence their audience. Influencers are known for their specialized knowledge and authority in a particular field. They can be TikTok dancers, how-to video creators, or people who share their knowledge about a specific topic.

To become an influencer, one can look into this:

Focus on a topic you're passionate about and knowledgeable about. Find the nice in yourself and work upon it.

Understand your audience's needs and develop relevant content. Do not try to manipulate or twist content in uour own way

Building a following takes time and effort. One needs to be patience.

Earn the trust of your audience. And keep the momentum going.

Few months ago, many of the social media influncers of my country were felicitated by our honourable Prime Minister. It was good to see the huge number, but to be in that elite group, we need to master our niche and to work upon the audience. I prefer to be another category, as garnering a huge audience is not easy walk.
