It's good to know different languages, like you'll just be like a boss, feeling yourself, lol... that's by the way anyways.
Sometimes I wish I could be able to communicate in as much language as possible. I can only speak Yoruba (my native language) and English. I could remember when I went to the northern part of Nigeria for my youth service, it pains me so much that I could not speak their language (hausa) there are so many things I could have gotten on a platter of gold only if I can speak hausa then.

I discovered that they love it when someone from another tribe could speak their language, they would love to communicate with you more and even give you more attention. It's funny how I use to take my hausa friend with me whenever I want to go to the market I always make sure that I go with someone that understands the language so that things will go smoothly and then I will also have a good time in the market, to avoid stories that touch.
I tried to learn the language as fast as I can because we only have less than a year to serve in our respective PPA's, I would always sit my friend down and ask him so many questions, I also remember that I had a book then where I was jotting those words, Translation of English words to Hausa, the one I cannot forget for life is their greetings and the meaning of "I love you". 😃😃 funny me. But then the zeal died after service when I returned to my state, as there's no one to teach me again and no one to communicate with in hausa.
Despite the fact that am not in the north, I still want to learn the language... I just love it naturally and then it's the second most spoken language in Nigeria after English, if am correct. Though I would love to learn many languages just as I have said earlier but the first on my list for now is Hausa language, which I would also love to teach as many people that wish to learn.
Thanks for stopping by.
