My Love For Kalabari & Spanish Languages

Being fluent in multiple languages is really great. You'd be able to express yourself better in the midst of those who may not be able to speak English.

Also, when someone is saying something against you or someone dear to you in their own language, of you understand that language, you'd be able to tell and vindicate yourself.

In my country Nigeria, there are 3 main tribes Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba although, we have so many.
I'm from the South- South Region, Rivers State bit I can only understand 30% of my dialect- Kalabari and 100% English. Funny right?
Yeah, that's because my parents spoke maily English to me when I was growing up. The little of Kalabari I learnt was from my own training.

My Dream Languages

First I'd love to learn 2 languages. My local dialect- Kalabari and my dream language - Spanish.

I love Kalabari so much. I think it's the very best among the numerous languages in Nigeria.

Each time I hear my parents or some other person speak it, it gives me a peaceful feel in my heart. I don't know how it would happen but I'll try my best to fully learn it 😌

I have always admired the Spanish language and those who spoke them as well since the days that Telemundo (A Spanish/ Italian Soap Opera Channel) came out newly on Dstv.

The language sends warm breeze down my spine. The beauty of the individual sounds makes it so melodious when put into a song. It just has a way of making the song stand out. With whatever musical or vocal technique employed, incorporating Spanish into it or singing the Spanish version gives it a lot of weight and emotions.

What Learning These Languages Would Mean To Me

  • Speaking Kalabari fluently will really help me communicate more intimately with my parents and loved ones. I would now be bold to travel to my home town without feeling like a stranger or being laughed at by little children when it's spoken and I can't understand. I would also have a language advantage when a need arises and I'm required to speak my language.

  • It would be a great joy to finally be perfect in Spanish. I would translate a lot of my favourite Christian songs to Spanish and I would be able to reach out to a lot of young people in Brazil & other Spanish speaking countries to help them understand who they are, their purpose in life through the Internet as it has always been my desire.

Also, I would uninstall my Learn Spanish mobile apps.beacuse I wouldn't need them anymore. The lady is now a master of the art. Yayyy !!!!!

So, that'd be all for now... Till next time💪❣
