Today's topic requires us to deeply reflect on values and merit.
Nowadays, merit is not always rewarded, often the so-called "wedges" favor other people to the detriment of the merit, effort and commitment of others.
but this reality occurs both in academic and social environments, and at work, where merit, effort and dedication are often not always rewarded in the best way.
In relation to studies, as in other matters of life, effort and merit, in my opinion, should be rewarded and should be seen as a path to being able to train more and better students who will one day be the ones to govern and define life. of them and perhaps some of the people.
In my country there is academic merit where the best students are often given scholarships and it also helps with so-called tuition fees which are expenses that all students at a higher academic level have to bear.

Access to school and higher education is a path that can be followed by everyone, but social and economic conditions often create obstacles to academic progression.
With so many difficulties there are only few options to continue academic life until the end, either if you are born into a family with good economic power that has the possibility of giving their children the opportunity to study, often in good schools, or many students from poorer classes give up or have to combine one or more jobs with studies and help pay academic expenses so they can continue to pursue their dream of completing their academic path.
Nowadays, although there are already some incentives, often with people's standard of living and with so many financial difficulties, bringing one or more children to study, especially if it is in higher education, can be a very difficult challenge, where you try to stretch make the most of the money so that academic expenses and even student accommodation can be paid, and also cover daily and essential expenses for people's lives.
In my opinion, there should be more incentives for studying, creating equal possibilities so that everyone has the opportunity to achieve their goals, without social and economic status being an obstacle, and that is where merit should come from, if students perform well there should be help so that education is completely or almost completely free, because governments have to think that investing in education means investing in people who are more capable of understanding and perceiving life's challenges, with education being essential at all levels to create citizens better in the future.

And for that better future, we must focus our efforts on increasing the qualifications of young people so that our society becomes more developed and prepared for the challenges that lie ahead.
Betting on education is and will always be a present opposition with our eyes placed on the future of a society, where merit must be valued.
A solid, fair and effective education will always be an education to build better citizens in the future
