Give Your Child The Freedom To Be Who He Wants To Be!

The job of a parent isn’t just to give birth to a child alone but to build the life of the child. A parent is supposed to train the child, help the child to know the behaviors that are acceptable in the society, help the child to be able to differentiate between what is right and wrong and above all, help the child to shape his or her life.

No matter how much we must have forgotten some of the acts our parents trained us with, there are still some acts that will be imbibed in us right from when we were little till we grow old or even die. That’s the power of training from birth. At the same time, when we grow and tend to explore different aspects of parts of life, we tend to welcome new characters or changes into our lives. That’s why a child tends to change in behavior when he or she grows up.

What would I do if my child decided to switch to a different way of life other than what I thought him?

Firstly, my mood is going to change. It can be for the positive or negative based on what my child is about to change in his life. I’m sure by then, my child must be an adult and no one will want to engage in something that will want to make him or her perish. So if my child decides to switch from what he used to be to a new person, he or she is welcomed but not all cases.

In the religion aspect, I’ve only tried Islam and Christianity. I haven’t tried others like Buddhism, traditional religion and a lot. So it will be my duty to make a research based on what my child is about to switch to. If it isn’t something bad, why not? That child is welcomed.

Now, there are so many things I can’t take. I can’t ever take lesbianism or gay from any child. Don’t ever try to be a gender that you are not. God knows I’ve always prayed against this and if there is a child somewhere who is wanting to try such with me, I’d bring up the method of a real African mother. No matter how old you can be, I’m still your mother and I can beat you to stupor but if you’re still following the right ways of life and just with a little change, we can work together and I will support you to the fullest.

What will I do as a parent who believes you’re doing what’s best for my child?

The major thing I feel I can do is to always place a check on my child. I wouldn’t want to make it seem obvious that I’m monitoring such child but trust me, I’m going to monitor every damn move so that my child is not going to perish and if he’s going the wrong direction, I’d make sure I try to best to straighten his head and put it back in place.

One thing I learned is that; As a parent, do not force your child to be what you want them to be. Give them the freedom to choose who they want to be.
