Hmmm, it’s been 9 days since we crossed over into the new year, I am surprised to know this is just the ninth day in the month of January, 2024, how come?, when I was already thinking we are already almost done with the fourth month. I woke up this morning and was thinking today is my birthday, crazy right?, oh yeah it is, I know that sounds crazy and silly, don’t blame friends, please blame the slowness of this month, I am starting to think someone is tampering with our time, there has been a shift in the balance of the earth, and this shift has caused this time slowness, and now it feels like we are relieving just one day over and over again lol, if I am making sense please say ”ride on” in my comment section ahaha…
Thanks to the edition one topic of this week’s prompt, I will have to travel back in time to be able to share my new year experience with you all in full details, I will be sharing how awesome and wonderful my new year celebration was, lies 😤, that was a big lie, this years new year celebration was just somehow, it was as boring as it is, and I will be telling you more about it on the below paragraphs…
UNRAVELING THE UNIQUENESS
OF MY NEW YEAR CELEBRATION…
This particular new year is one of the most boring new year I have ever celebrated, did I even celebrate it at all ahaha, no, though I am grateful for many things in my life, all of which includes life, good health, money, and many other things, but when it comes to fun and enjoyment, this aspect scores a total zero, what is definition of a new year celebration without fun and enjoyment…
I expected this year to be dope and fun filled, but for a thousand and one reasons I wasn’t able to have the whole fun and enjoyment I had anticipated many months ago, the new year was enjoyable in some ways , if I were to rate how enjoyable it was, i would be giving it a 1/10, and this is because on this particular day, there was no power supply all morning, we literally had no power the whole day, and it was almost noon when it was eventually restored, who does that on a new year, the new year celebration was also less fun because @burlarj wasn’t around, I remember how crazy and interesting last year was for the both of us when he was still at home, he moved last year for schooling purpose and it’s been boring since then, I had to stay indoor on the first day of the year, when i and burl could have made a couple of plans for that day and shut the whole location down, burl was far away and I was indoor the whole day, I visited a couple of friends but it wasn’t really interesting like what burl and I would have planned…
I slept after the cross over service, ate some food and chicken when I woke up, slept again, streamed Netflix and visited a couple of friends, and finally came home, this was how I spent my new year day…
In summary, to be honest the first day of the year wasn’t really special for me this year, it literally felt just like another day, and this was because there was no one to tour the whole mall with ahaha…
In conclusion, it would have been great if burl was around or nearby that day, unfortunately for me he wasn’t around and he also had his nephews and nieces over at his place which was miles away from where I stay, ICM or toll gate ShopRite would have known they had people come over that day, but unfortunately things didn’t go as planned, but guess what there is still time…
