The Future of AI: Will 2050 Be a Blessing or a Threat?

The impact of technology in our world today has been mind-blowing. Artificial intelligence has been seen doing a lot in different sectors, both in the health care system, homes, agriculture, etc., and I begin to wonder what the world would be like in the year 2050.

It's obvious that technology for now has been seen making life easier and better for us, increasing productivity, and the like far better than how it was some years ago. The version of human lives has been improved, courtesy of technology, but with this drastic advancement we see today, I am afraid that in the future, maybe 20 to 30 years to come, this invention might turn to dominate humans rather than serve us, which was the main purpose humans invented it.

It's quite challenging to predict what the technological advancements will look like in the year 2050, but considering how far we have come today technologically wise, I will say that a lot of improvement will be seen in different sectors, some to our advantage and some to human disadvantages. Take, for instance, agricultural settings. Looking at how AI is doing wonders there, I guess improved machines will be available for all our agricultural activities on the farm, leading to more farm products, all done by AI, which will mean the human services in this area will be reduced as well.

Secondly, we may see highly improved machines in the health sector doing diagnosis and even treating complex diseases to save human life. Talking of complex diseases, I can't wait to see AI saving cancer patients come 2050. That will be one great positive thing this invention will do for humanity. Today in hospitals, we see AI assisting human doctors even in the theater. Human beings are still relevant in the health sector because they lack emotion, right? But I have read recently that AI is beginning to have a bit of human emotion, making it possible to fully displace some jobs we do. I don't know how true this can be because I have never interacted with AI physically, but with the way things are going, in the future, we might see total displacement in the health sector.

Imagine what humans invented to make life easier for us now taking our place. I really don't want to overthink and assume much on this, but we can consider equipping ourselves with the latest technological skills in order to remain relevant in our own world no matter the advancement in the near future.

In terms of education, computerized gadgets will be very accessible to assist learners in their studies. This might be of advantage to the students but obviously going to eliminate the number of teachers in a school, and that means loss of job for many.

One thing I am sure is that life will be very simple with tech come 2050, more of what we call soft life because virtually everything we can think of, AI, and robots will be there to do them; sadly, humans might remain almost irrelevant in their world.

Wrapping up, I will prefer that scientists improve these robots in positive aspects that'll make life safe and helpful for everyone rather than dominating human beings.
