Soft skills I've learned so far

Everyone knows the job market isn't like in the olden days in which before someone graduated from tertiary institutions, job opportunities are already available for you to fit in. Nowadays, getting a befitting job is now survival of the fittest even with all the certificates it's just so difficult to secure a placement.

Fitting into the job market presently now requires you to have soft skills, that is the capacity or enablement to do something well in a unique way in order to ensure success in the job market.

Before I graduated from school, I've undergone some training on skill acquisitions so as to compliment my chosen career but I didn't know in details what soft skills entails. Not until a program was organized by the youth department of my church which is all about professional development, that was when I learnt about soft skills and how it play huge roles in a person's success at a job.

The first thing I learnt is to dream big but try to start small with patience. To ensure success in the job market, starting small is very important. Growing one's brand is a gradual process, even if one should have a gigantic dream, one needs to start from the minimum level and grow with the process.

It's better not to rush into the job market because when you start up in a rush, you will definitely rush out and in the process of looking for a way to balance up, other brands might have taking over from you. So it's very important to learn how to be patient in the days of your small beginning.

Secondly, I also learnt about Time management. An adage says time is money...and so it is. Keeping time and not falling behind schedule is very crucial because it will help you to have proper time for yourself and family; and also help you get things done in a jiffy.

For instance, if a boss in an establishment is time conscious, none of the staff of the company will lack behind, they will always be in a haste to meet up with both their time and target. Cause they're already aware that their boss is a prompt human being. Time management skill is very important if you want to have success in whatever job you are doing.

Another very important soft skill I learnt about is effective communication. Effective communication with adequate respect in it is required, it is very important to learn how to speak respectfully with/to others, have maximum control over your alterations and also have a listening ears. Respect they say is reciprocal, learning how to address people with respect is very crucial if you want to be successful in the job market.

For every job you intend to venture into, one need to research on the skills needed in it so as to be successful and not struggle to maintain your stand in it. Every job has its do's and don'ts, so when you are effective in its skills, no matter how long it might be success will definitely be yours.
