Hello friends, happy weekend. Welcome to the third and final featured contest of Week 24 of #hivelearners with prompt bilingual.
Being able to communicate fluently or write in multiple languages is a very good thing. Learning other languages is incredibly nice because one might encounter folks or colleagues who may not be able to speak English.
I can just speak only two languages which is Yoruba (my native dialect) and English.
With difference in languages, you can be render useless if you are in the midst of people who doesn't understand your language, so learning languages is very important for interaction and better communicate.
In Nigeria, there are numerous tribes but the three major ones are Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa. I really like to learn Igbo language, one major reason why I love the language is because I look like people from the eastern part of Nigeria😂 and I also like how the language sounds whenever I'm in the midst of people that are having conversations in Igbo. A lot of people don't believe when I tell them that I'm not from the east because of my complexion (some do say i'm either from Enugu or Imo state)😆.
Whether at Work or in Church, whenever there is an occasion that warrant the display of Nigeria culture, I'm always selected to join the Igbo tribe. So I earnestly want to learn the language so as to feel among and also add it to the languages that I understand.
(That's me)
For a foreign language, I like German language, why?
Because Germany is a country that has vast knowledge in innovation, engineering and technology. The German language uses the Latin alphabet and it is also the third most taught foreign language (after English and French), so learning German won't be a bad idea at all.
Germany have the goals of good ideas which are been translate into innovative products, this keeps them going and in the world today, Germany came top as the Most Innovative Economy. Anything made from German are nice and superb, talk of cars, machineries and the likes, in such Germany and technology are interwoven.
Germany is better at infusing old products and processing it into vibrant new one. This therefore, makes me have the urge to at least learn the language so as not to be hindered whenever I have the opportunity to travel there. I really want to be a residence of Germany so as for me to have vast knowledge about technology and innovation.
If I can be able to speak German fluently, I can serve as an instructor for those that want to learn it. I can also be a translator or a travel guide for German tourist that may want to visit Nigeria. I know that, learning these two languages will provide me lots of advantages over individuals who don't.
