THE BATTLE OF INTELLIGENCE IS LIKE GROWTH MINDSET, FIXED MINDSET AND THE GIFTED

Hello everyone, how are you today? Before answering this question, I will digress a little from the topic to show the true meaning of intelligence.
When I was in school, I read books about great philosophers who had not acquired formal education; yet, they were highly intelligent and we read most of the things they said.
Anaxagoras was one of the great philosophers who did not attend any formal school but he was among the first philosophers that propounded the first atomic theory.
Socrate did not attend any formal school, and I did not read in any book that he had a degree in philosophy; yet, Socrates was the one of the founders of the great course called philosophy some of us study in the school. He was reckoned as one of the most intelligent men in his era.
I can say that his knowledge is everywhere in the field of philosophy.

WHERE DO THESE GREAT PHILOSOPHERS GET THEIR INTELLIGENCE?
Intelligence is innate: Which simply means there are people that are born with it. These types of people also need to be in the environment that will influence them.
I have a friend in school who doesn't read for more than 30 minutes, and when you ask him what he read, he will tell you everything but he cannot solve simple mathematics. He was the best student in law.
He had two brothers and a sister (siblings), in their various schools, they are the best when it comes to any subject that does not involve mathematics. Up to today, their family is one of the intelligent families in the town.
Their grandfather did not attend any school but he was on the right-hand side of the king because of his intelligence on any matter.
Their father is a lawyer and now a senior advocate. He was known as the best student in his own time when he was in the school.
The problem they have is they don’t do well in mathematics. All of them don’t do well in mathematics.
Intelligence can be developed: I will also paint a scenario of my friend that we met in school. This guy was a dullard. I was imagining how he got admission to a higher institution because of the level of his intelligence. I later found out that he had siblings working in the university. So, they helped him to get admission.
We were at the same level, could you imagine I was teaching this guy how to pronounce words. This shouldn’t be at this level; he can even write simple compositions of himself. In the first semester, he failed 6 courses out of 10. In 100 level he had 1.1 CGPA.
This guy cried and he collected all the materials from his senior students, and went home with those materials during vacation.
Before we resumed back to school, he called me through cell phone and told me that he had gone through those materials three times.
In the 200 level first semester, he made 6 credits and 2 B’s.
Despite the worst start in the university, he came out with 3.52CGPA.
There was no record that Michael Faraday had a degree in, I only read that he attended basic school and learned as an apprentice.
He was the person that invented the first electric motor and did many things in physics and chemistry.
IS GOING TO SCHOOL OR GETTING GRADES A MEASURE OF INTELLIGENCE?
Going to school is very important because you are going to learn something, and by doing that your IQ is increasing. Therefore, for some people, school is where they increase their intelligence and that was the reason, I said, a growth mindset.
When you have a growth mindset, you will be able to learn because you will believe in yourself that you can do it even though you can’t. Just like my friend who discovered that he can make it, and he made it.

THE BATTLE OF INTELLIGENCE IS LIKE GROWTH MINDSET, FIXED MINDSET AND THE GIFTED
Intelligence is fixed, intelligence is growth, and intelligence is a gift.
I used fixed because those that are not ready to learn anything. I have some students whenever I teach them mathematics, they say they cannot know it. This is a group of students that have written themselves off in the class; they don’t pay attention; they don’t do assignments; some of them will be outside while learning is taking place in the classroom. This is because of their fixed mindset that they cannot know it.
I also have a group of students who want to know it by all means. They disturb me in school, they come to my home, they wait for lessons after school. Because of their seriousness, I teach mathematics and English after school.
As a result of their growth mindset, they ended up knowing it beyond school and also learned the application of those things I taught them. Their results are the best, they represent my school in any competition, speak English eloquently, and provide solutions to the problems within and outside the school setting.

The gifted ones are those who are naturally intelligent. Without attending any formal school, they tend to provide solutions to their environment.
Intelligence is not limited to four walls of the classroom, but you can develop your intelligence through learning even though you are born with it.
If your environment does not influence your intelligence, you might not be known as an intelligent person.
Intelligence is not only when you have high grades in school, intelligence is also the ability to provide solutions to the problem in your environment.

I stand up for success, and success is not achieved by merely making mouth, No room for laziness, no room for idleness.
