I was also happy today that I was able to play as well as yesterday and I got 11 focus chests.
Let talk about fire and regret ruleset; fire and regret Ruleset is one of the oldest rules in @splinterlands.
When a range monster attacks, it receives damage in return; this is the reason I preferred to use monsters with melee attacks and magic attacks when fire and regret is given.
Therefore, using return fire in some battles is very technical. This is the reason as a player, you must pay attention to the ruleset.
There were days I was given ‘fire and regret ruleset’ in battles; because I forgot to pay attention to the rule, I selected range monsters in the which resulted to defeat.
One of the biggest lost i encountered was when amplified rule was attached to the fire and regret. Amplify made me feel like I was not a pro in the game because it was a great mistake for me to use range monsters in such battles.
I used melee and magic monsters whenever I came across fire and regret in battle; this is one of the methods I used to fight regret and fire. But some players are very smart, they guessed exactly the monsters I would use. There are players that I met who used magic reflection, shield and void abilities to fight against me because they knew that I won’t dear to use range monsters when Fire and regret is given.
♦️♦️♦️RULESETS♦️♦️♦️
Fire and Regret: All monsters have the return fire ability.
Damage returned is equal to damage of the attacker divided by 2, rounded up; and amplified increase ability increases the damage. Do not forget that fire and regret do not take damage from magic and melee monsters.
Counterspell: All monsters have the magic reflect ability.

✅✅ARRANGEMENT✅✅
Sea Monster
Splinter: Water
Level: 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Ability: heal
The mana was 23, therefore I knew that sea monster would be difficult to eliminate at once in this battle. One of the reasons I don’t like to use Sea Monster in battle is the lower speed; there were battles I used Sea Monster and before it attacks in such battles, it is already eliminated.
In this battle, I knew that it would be difficult to eliminate it in this battle because of the mana.
I would have preferred to use magic monsters but the counterspell ruleset was the major hindrance. Djinn Oshannus was the only magic monster in the battle; and it took damage when it attacked Sea Monster but the void ability made it ineffective.
Any magic attack without Void ability in this battle would have taken damage when they attacked.
This reflect ability was the reason I did not use magic monsters in this battle; and that was the reason I used Sea Monster in this battle.
Deeplurker
Splinter: Water
Level: 4⭐⭐⭐⭐
Ability: opportunity
Since magic and range monsters took damage when they attacked in this battle; melee monsters were the only monsters that were good to use.
Deeplurker was one of the interesting melee monsters to use because of the opportunity ability. The opportunity ability of Deeplurker made this monster attack monsters with smallest health in this battle; and the first monster to attack was the Chaos Agent. The armor which was given by the summoner that my opponent used could not allow Deeplurker to eliminate at once. Therefore, Chao agent was eliminated in the second round of the battle; eliminated Uraeus in the fourth round of the battle; eliminated Merdaali Guardian in the fifth round; damaged the armor of Pelacor Bandit in the sixth round and finally eliminated Pelacor Bandit in the round seventh.
Deeplurker and Sea monsters were the monsters that were not eliminated in this battle. Therefore, opportunity monsters are very good in this type of battle.
Water Elemental
Splinter: Water
Level: 4⭐⭐⭐⭐
Ability: heal
Looking at the nature of this battle, Water elemental was not a suitable monster to use because it was a range monster. One thing that motivated me to use this monster was the healing ability. Without the healing ability, Water Elemental would have been eliminated in this battle in the third round because as it was attacking, its health was damaged by fire and regret rule.
The healing ability made it difficult to be eliminated; if not Water Elemental was attacked by Uraeus and Pelacor Bandit, it wouldn’t have been eliminated because of its healing ability. The healing ability would have sustained it from elimination.
Creeping Ooze
Splinter: Neutral
Level: 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Ability: slow
One of the important factors in this battle was speed; I knew speed was necessary in this battle and that was the reason I used Creeping Ooze to reduce or slow down my opponent’s speed.
When Creeping Ooze was eliminated, opponent monsters were attacking faster in this battle.
Furious Chicken
Splinter: neutral
Level: 3⭐⭐⭐
No way Furious Chicken Could attack in this battle; I selected Furious Chicken to receive attack from behind.
🍀🍀WHAT DO I LERANED WHILE PLAYING BATTLE WITH FIRE AND REGRET RULESET?🍀🍀
I learned that the rule did not encourage the use range monsters: you could see that water elemental with healing ability was destroyed. If it was a range monster without healing ability, it would have been eliminated in this battle very fast.
Therefore, the ruleset promotes the use of melee and magic monsters; the presence of counterspell made me not to use magic monsters.
Therefore, I love to use opportunity monsters when such a rule is given; but, if counterspell is not included in the battle; I loke to use magic monsters.
This ruleset discourages the use of favorite range monsters; for me, my favorite range monster is Axemaster. Fire and Regret rule discouraged me from using Axemaster.
OPPONENT MONSTERS
Hardy Stonefish
Splinter: Water
Level: 3⭐⭐⭐
I believed my opponent used this monster to receive the first attack since Djinn Oshannus was able to attack in any position. He knew I would be very difficult for me to use magic monsters; and Hardy Stonefish took two attack that supposed to receive by Djinn Oshannus.
Djinn Oshannus
Splinter: Water
Level: 1⭐
Ability: Void
He knew that counterspell would not be effective due to void ability; that was the reason he used Djinn Oshannus.
Uraeus
Splinter: Neutral
Level: 1⭐
Ability: Sneak
We all know how sneak monsters operate: Sneak monsters attack from behind. Therefore, the aim of my opponent was to use sneak monsters to destroy my monsters from behind.
Merdaali Guardian
Splinter: Water
Level: 1⭐
Ability: Tank Heal
This monster was used to give Djinn Oshannus more health.
Pelacor Bandit
Splinter: Water
Level: 3⭐⭐⭐
Ability: sneak
Pelacor was used to attack from behind
Chaos Agent
Splinter: Neutral
Level: 1⭐
This monster was to delay from behind.
