You were happily scrolling through hive’s one of the popular frontends. But suddenly a catchy title grabs your attention. And you feel a surge of hunger. But what should you eat? Should you cook something yourself or grab something quickly from a fastfood place? So what’s the big deal? It may not seem to be such a big deal but in reality its a big decision. Today we're going to talk about why choosing between home cooked food and fast food matters so much.

Food is like fuel for our bodies. But sometimes its hard to decide whats better. Making dinner yourself or getting a burger from a drive thru. This is where todays discussion comes in. We’ll explore some questions that might help change your mind.

So before we move on to the main discussion it’s only fair that I talk about the usefulness of both sides. Here’s a side by side comparison what each one is good at -

During my research I haven’t found any bad sides of homecooked meals other than it being slightly time consuming. But for fast food I have found numeros of negative aspects which are directly related to our wellbeing and physical-mental health. See the table below for more details.

Thе high lеvеls of sodium and unhеalthy fats in fast food contributе to high blood prеssurе and cholеstеrol lеvеls lеading to an incrеasеd risk of hеart attacks and strokеs.

Fast food often contains artificial additives such as monosodium glutamate (MSG) and various chemicals to improve taste. These additives contribute to conditions like hyperactivity, allergies, and other health issues.

Another thing is that it’s also engineered to be so much addictive in nature which can lead to overeating. Fast food is also related to negative environmental, economic and social impact. And the list just goes on and on.

In conclusion I take the sides of home cooked meals while fast foods can be a good choice when you are on the go or on a tight schedule. But other than that I think we should touch it as little as possible concerning the health risks it directly relates to.
