The world is currently witnessing significant political upheavals. In rapid succession, several countries have experienced major disruptions. Recently, first Venezuela, then Sri Lanka, and now Bangladesh have seen public political revolutions. However, what’s particularly intriguing about the Bangladeshi revolution is that the primary driving force behind it is a student organization. This student movement fought so fiercely for their rights that it was almost unimaginable. The political awareness among the youth, particularly the students’ protests, has sparked a variety of opinions and has also threatened the dominance of long-established political parties. In a global context, we see a similar trend, where the youth are actively resisting, whether in developing countries like Pakistan or developed ones like the United States. We have seen how young people across various nations have marched and rallied for Palestine, challenging the authorities. This is the first step towards increasing political awareness among the youth.
دنیائے عالم میں آج کل بڑے سیاسی انقلابات دکھائی دے رہے ہیں. ایک کے بعد ایک کرکے کئی ممالک میں اکھاڑ پچھاڑ کا سلسلہ جاری و ساری ہے. حال ہی میں پہلے وینزویلا، پھر سری لنکا اور اب بنگلہ دیش میں عوامی سیاسی انقلاب برپا ہو گیا ہے. البتہ دلچسپ بات یہ ہے کہ بنگلہ دیش کے عوامی انقلاب میں اصل محرک طلبہ تنظیم ہے جو اپنے حقوق کے حصول کے لیے اس قدر مزاحمت کرتی دکھائی دی جس کا تصور کرنا محال تھا. نوجوانوں کا یہ سیاسی شعور اور بالخصوص طلبہ کا احتجاج جہاں رنگا رنگ قسم کے تبصروں کو جنم دے رہا ہے وہیں دہائیوں پر مشتمل سیاسی جماعتوں کی اجارہ داری پر بھی موت کی تلوار بن کر لٹک رہا ہے. اگر ہم عالمی تناظر میں بات کریں تو اس وقت پوری دنیا میں نوجوان نسل مزاحمت کرتی دکھائی دے رہی ہے، چاہے وہ پاکستان جیسی ترقی پذیر مملکت ہو یا ریاست ہائے متحدہ امریکہ جیسی ترقی یافتہ مملکت ہو. ہم نے دیکھا کہ کس طرح نوجوانوں نے مختلف ممالک میں فلسطین کے حق میں مارچ کیے، ریلیاں نکالیں اور حکومت وقت کو چیلنج کیا. یہ منظر نامہ نوجوانوں میں بڑھتے ہوئے سیاسی شعور کی جانب بڑھتا ہوا پہلا قدم ہے.
The Great Political Revolution:
Given that my today’s blog focuses on the youth of Bangladesh, I find it necessary to highlight a few points. The success of this great political revolutionary movement is largely due to the students of Bangladesh, who deserve commendation for transcending all forms of discrimination and fighting for their rights. Ultimately, they succeeded in achieving their goals. But the question arises, what motivated these university-going students to abandon everything and take to the streets for their rights? Why did they even sacrifice their lives? How did such intense anger and passion suddenly surface? What were the factors that turned the people of Bangladesh against the daughter of the country's founder, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman? It reached the point where Sheikh Hasina had to flee Bangladesh to save her life. I won’t comment on whether these actions and their methods were right or wrong, or whether they should have resisted or pursued their demands through political means. However, one thing is certain: the situation in Bangladesh sends a silent message to those countries that are denying their citizens’ rights. It’s not far-fetched to imagine that a movement could rise at any moment and seize power. Therefore, if those in power wish to retain it, they must meet the demands of their people.
عظیم سیاسی انقلاب:
میری آج کی بلاگ کا عنوان چونکہ بنگلہ دیش کا نوجوان ہے تو اس حوالے سے میں چند باتیں ذکر کرنا ضروری خیال کرتا ہوں. اس عظیم سیاسی انقلابی تحریک کی کامیابی پر بنگلہ دیش کے طلبہ خراج تحسین کے مستحق ہیں کہ انہوں نے ہر قسم کی امتیازی تقسیم سے ماوراء ہو کر اپنے حقوق کے لیے جدوجہد کی اور بالآخر اپنے مقصد کو حاصل کرنے میں کامیاب ہوئے. مگر سوچنے کی بات یہ ہے کہ آخر یونیورسٹیوں میں پڑھنے لکھنے والے نوجوان کو کس بات نے ابھارا کہ وہ سب کچھ چھوڑ چھاڑ کے اپنے حق کے لیے سڑکوں پر آگیا؟ کیوں انہوں نے اپنی جانیں تک قربان کر دیں؟ اتنا غم و غصہ اور جذباتیت یکدم سے کیسے سامنے آگئی؟ آخر کیا محرکات تھے کہ جس نے بنگلہ دیش کی عوام کو بنگلہ دیش کے بانی شیخ مجیب الرحمٰن کی بیٹی کے خلاف کر دیا؟ حتیٰ کہ حسینہ واجد کو بنگلہ دیش چھوڑ کر جان بچا کر بھاگنا پڑا. میں اس بات پر کوئی تبصرہ نہیں کروں گا کہ آیا یہ اقدامات اور ان کا طریقہ کار درست تھا یا نہیں. انہیں مزاحمت کرنی چاہیے تھی یا سیاسی طریقے پر اپنے مطالبات منوانے چاہیے تھے. مگر اتنی بات ضرور ہے کہ بنگلہ دیش کی صورتحال ان ممالک کے لیے ایک خاموش پیغام ہے جو اپنے شہریوں کے حقوق غصب کیے بیٹھے ہیں. کیونکہ اب کوئی بعید نہیں کہ کس وقت کوئی تحریک اٹھے اور تخت شاہی پر براجمان ہو جائے. اس لیے اگر اقتدار عزیز ہے تو اہل اقتدار کو رعایا کی مانگیں پوری کرنا پڑیں گی.
Pakistan’s Situation:
Currently, Pakistan is facing a situation similar to Bangladesh's. The issues are almost identical—unjust rulers, oppression, and numerous other problems—against which the public is constantly protesting. However, Pakistan is fortunate that its defense is so strong that whether it is an external force or an internal one, toppling the government is as difficult as chewing iron. Yes, if the military commanders themselves wish to, they can change the scenario. Just as the passionate youth in Bangladesh revolted against the oppressive system, it could happen here as well. But, unfortunately, we are already divided into many factions. Whether it's linguistic prejudice, sectarianism, personality cults, or disputes over urban and rural boundaries, the Pakistani nation is so entangled that the possibility of uniting for their rights seems unlikely. After the success of the Bangladeshi students' movement, many images and videos emerged. One beautiful image I came across was an unprecedented example of a gathering of students from all the universities across the country. Certainly, if you want to achieve a great goal, you must set aside minor grudges and mutual animosities. When internal discord and division exist, achieving external goals becomes a mere fantasy.
پاکستان کی صورتحال:
اس وقت بنگلہ دیش جیسی صورتحال پاکستان میں بھی عوام کو درپیش ہے. ہوبہو ملتے جلتے مسائل، حکمرانوں کا ناروا رویہ، ظلم و ستم اور نہ جانے کتنے مسائل ہیں جن کے خلاف عوام کا ایک سمندر روزانہ ہی کہیں احتجاج میں مصروف دکھائی دیتا ہے مگر حکومت پاکستان کی یہ خوشقسمتی ہے کہ دفاعی طور پر وہ اس قدر مضبوط ہے کہ بیرونی طاقت ہو یا اندرونی طاقت، اس کے لیے تختہ شاہی الٹنا لوہے کے چنے چبانے کے مترادف ہے. ہاں اگر دفاعی کمانڈرز خود چاہیں تو منظر نامے میں تبدیلی لا سکتے ہیں. جس طرح بنگلہ دیش کے جوشیلے جوانوں میں ظالمانہ نظام کے خلاف بغاوت کر دی، یہاں بھی ہو سکتی ہے مگر افسوس کی بات ہے کہ ہم پہلے ہی کئی تقسیمات میں تقسیم در تقسیم ہو چکے ہیں. کہیں لسانی بنیادوں پر تعصب، کہیں فرقہ واریت، کہیں شخصیت پرستی تو کہیں شہری و دیہی حدود و اراضی پر جھگڑوں میں پاکستانی قوم ایسی جکڑی ہوئی ہے کہ اپنے حقوق کے لیے متحد ہونے کا امکان بظاہر نظر نہیں آتا. بنگلہ دیش کے نوجوانوں کی تحریک کی کامیابی کے بعد بہت ساری تصاویر اور ویڈیوز دیکھنے میں آئیں. ان میں ایک خوبصورت تصویر جو مجھے دیکھنے کو ملی، وہ ملک بھر کی تمام یونیورسٹیز کے طلبہ کے اجتماع کی بے نظیر مثال تھی. یقینی طور پر اگر آپ نے بڑے مقصد کو حاصل کرنا ہے تو آپسی چھوٹی رنجشیں، باہمی عداوتیں ختم کرنی ہوں گی. جب اندرونی اختلاف اور انتشار موجود ہو، تو بیرونی مقاصد حاصل کرنا ایک دیوانے کا خواب بن جاتا ہے.
Resistance:
This blog may appear to be one-sided support. I’m not saying that the former Bengali rulers were entirely wrong. It's possible that they had some exemplary qualities, but my aim is to draw attention to the political awakening that has emerged among the youth. This is why one significant event after another continues to occur. The era of forcing someone to live a life of your choosing through chains and shackles is long gone. The world has now become a global village, and even domestic matters spread to every corner of the world. Therefore, it is essential that this emotional tide be guided by wise and capable leaders. In this regard, I believe that the youth of Bangladesh have set an example for the youth around the world, especially students, showing that rights can be won in such a manner. However, it is also important to remember that the circumstances of each country are different, and thus the path of wisdom and prudence should always be chosen. We learn from the Bangladeshi student movement that to secure your legitimate rights, you must be willing to sacrifice everything, even your life. If a person or state tries to forcibly dominate you, then resistance becomes a duty. Such resisters are not rebels but patriots.
مزاحمت:
میری یہ بلاگ بظاہر یکطرفہ حمایت پر مبنی نظر آتی ہے. میں یہ نہیں کہتا کہ سابقہ بنگالی حکمران سو فیصد غلط تھے. عین ممکن ہے کہ ان میں بہت سی باتیں بے مثال ہوں، لیکن میرا مقصد ایک سیاسی انقلابی بیداری کی طرف توجہ دلانا ہے جو نوجوانوں میں پیدا ہو چکی ہے. یہی وجہ ہے کہ ایک کے بعد ایک بڑا واقعہ رونما ہوتا چلا جا رہا ہے. اب وہ دور نہیں رہا کہ آپ کسی کو بیڑیوں میں جکڑ کر، زنجیروں میں باندھ کر اپنی مرضی سے زندگی گزارنے پر مجبور کر سکیں. اب دنیا ایک گلوبل ولیج کی صورت اختیار کر چکی ہے. گھر کی بات بھی اب دنیا کے ہر کونے تک پھیل جاتی ہے. اس لیے اب ضرورت اس بات کی ہے کہ اس جذباتی دھارے کو باشعور اور باصلاحیت قائدین میسر ہوں. اس حوالے سے میں سمجھتا ہوں کہ بنگلہ دیش کے نوجوانوں نے دنیا بھر کے نوجوانوں کے لیے بالخصوص طلبہ کے لیے ایک مثال قائم کر دی ہے کہ اپنے حقوق ایسے بھی منوائے جا سکتے ہیں. البتہ اس امر کو بھی ملحوظ خاطر رکھا جائے کہ ہر ملک کے حالات مختلف ہوتے ہیں. اس لیے ہمیشہ حکمت و مصلحت کا راستہ اختیار کرنا چاہیے. ہمیں بنگلہ دیش کی طلبہ تحریک سے یہ سبق سیکھنے کو ملتا ہے کہ اپنے جائز حقوق حاصل کرنے کے لیے اپنا تن من دھن سب قربان کرنا پڑے تو کر گزرا جائے، پھر چاہے جان ہی کیوں نہ چلی جائے. اگر کوئی شخص یا ریاست زبردستی آپ پر قابض ہونے کی کوشش کرے تو اس موقع پر مزاحمت فرض کی صورت اختیار کر لیتی ہے. ایسے مزاحمت کار باغی نہیں، محب وطن ہوتے ہیں.
