A security system is something that has proven to be of good benefit to us and our everyday activity. Every organization has a security system, a measure of good security is becoming an important criteria in every online platforms, security is not just reserved for online platforms though, because even the house you live in has a security system.
The main purpose of a security system is to prevent unauthorized access and also for privacy.
Having said that, let's take a long walk down to hive and its security system.

Hive is a blockchain that uses keys as its security system. Just like any other platform that uses password.
One important thing about hive keys is that they cannot be easily retrieved when lost so there is need for a lot of safety when dealing with hive keys.
Do you have enough idea about the importance of these keys?
Hive keys comes with a lot of benefits, they are important and used for posting, transferring hive dollar, commenting, likes, encrypting and decrypting private messages etc. The uses of each key is briefly discussed below.
Without your hive keys, you won't be able to perform some actions on hive. You wont even be able to login.
What are the functions/permissions of each keys and explain them?
Hive makes use of four keys which are:
Master key / Owner key: This is the most important key on hive because it is required to change the other keys. This key posses additional permissions to recover your account.
Active key: this is the 2nd most important key on hive, it is used to grant permission to monetary-related actions, like transfer and exchange of tokens.
Posting key: this key is the most widely used, it is used for social networking actions on hive which includes; likes, posting, voting and commenting.
Memo key: while this is a rarely used key, it is believed to be of good importance in the future. This key is only used to encrypt and decrypt private messages sent through the blockchain.

Now, i am going to share with you some of the steps, on how to locate your security Keys.
First and foremost, you need to log in to hive.
After login, from your dashboard or homepage, locate and click on "Wallet"
You will be directed to your wallet page, locate and click "keys and permission"
Your hive keys will be visible to you. Click on reveal to see each key.

- Do not reveal your hive keys to any body
- Before imputing your hive keys anywhere, make sure it a trusted source.

- Write your keys on a book and keep it safe
- Store keys on google drive, if you have an online host or cloud system, you can store your keys there too.
