Hello and welcome to my page. I'm @daniky and here is my entry to the weekly featured content for week 7 edition 3. This post is in response to the question raised which states;
"Imagine if there were no security issues, no traffic and the risk of accidents has been reduced to the barest minimum... What would be your favourite mode of transport? Give us your reasons."
For me, my favorite means of transportation still remains by "Air". Reason why i chose this as my favorite include the following;
It is the fastest means of transportation: The aircraft is the fastest among all automobiles. A journey that takes about 12hours on land can be covered within the space of 45minutes. Nothing awesome about transport means can be compared to this. Aeroplane ✈ runs faster and is able to cover thousands of kilometres within an hour. So rhis is fhe more reason my favorite choice of transportation is by air.
Lesser risk of accident than land: No matter how secure land can be, there's this risk of accident that may still occur. Head-on collision may occur or someone drunk may drive into the bush. To fly an aircraft you'll be thoroughly checked and ensure you're capable of working at that moment because many passengers are involved in the journey you're about to embark. Provided the aircraft is in good shape, there's no cause for accident and if peradventure anything is about to happen, the passengers onboard will be notified timely and given life jackets for their safety. So travelling by air is the safest means of transportation.
Convenience: You feel comfortable while on an Airplane than on land or train (expect for those having phobia for higher altitudes). You get to enjoy your movement without having to undergo any stress. When it's lunch time you will be served your lunch and whenever you need to use the rest room, there's no need of stopping the plane to use it. You simply go to the back position where the rest room is situated. With the current phobia of railway transport in Nigeria due to banditry attack on the Abuja-kaduna railway passengers on board, one can never think of boarding a train at the moment. So we all want convenience and this can happen when security is totally restored in our land and railway stations.
Despite the fact that the Air is the fastest and safest means of transportation, one might be wondering why rhe cost of transportation by air is much exorbitant and this places discouragement in the mind of many who can't afford it. I believe with time, the price will definitely come down but this inflation is due to the quality of life you receive while on onboard and for the fact that it's the safest and fastest means of transportation.
