SETTING SAIL: A NEWCOMER'S INTRODUCTION

Really! I'm finally here and I am so excited. Okay, let's get into the details.
My name is Deborah Abe. I am from Osun state, in South western part of Nigeria.

Allow me to tell you a brief story...

As a teenager, I understood that my name is Hebrew so I searched for the English interpretation. All the answers are related to the bee🐝. You see my username, the d is from the Hebrew name while the Honeyb is the interpretation in English but without the ee🤗🤗

My surname?? I found out that white men also bear the name so as it is now, I don't know the history or the definition of my family name. Pardon me.

HOW DID I GET INTO HIVE

I got to know about HIVE through my baby brother @hemmykies. He's seen my ability and wanted me to put it to good use. He introduced me to @creativepearl who guided me in all I need to know about this great platform. I can't but commend her patience in teaching me.

More about myself

I'm a graduate of Biology Education from the University of Ibadan affiliated with Osun state College of Education (now University of Ilesa). I'd prefer to say I'm reserved but can fit into any character you want. Yeah, I engage in a lot of things. That's cool, right? 😊😊
I love arts and I still wonder how I got to be in science class.

I am an entrepreneur, a start-up fashion business owner of D-Honeyb Styles (a unisex fashion house) I help create wardrobes that suit individual's personal style. Truth be told, I enjoy making male clothes and I would probably focus on it as I grow in the business.

I love to see people become better version of themselves irrespective of who they are or where they're from.
I was a classroom teacher for 3 years and I enjoyed impacting young minds. I ensured that I bring out the best in my students anyway I can. My believe is that nobody is born a dullard.
There's this fear of Biology amidst students but my students even the seeming unintelligent passed my subject in their final exams.

I'm a happy teacher, right?

Few days ago, one of my students told me he has completed his first semester in school. I was so happy. This former student was seen as one of the least in class but I gave him the push and he's doing well.

Yes! The joy of a teacher is to see his/her students going upward.

Anyways, I resigned like 8 months ago. The stress was becoming more than the pay. Sewing became the priority.
Running the business had not been easy but it's worth it.
🤗 🤗

My looks sometimes defeat me but when you move closer, you'd be impressed with who I am. Let's just say I'm a perfect definition of don't judge a book by its cover. I love to make friends especially with people making waves in their endeavours because I want to learn from them. I know this platform has a lot of them.

Permit me to pause here

As you read and follow my posts, you'll get to know more about me.

The sail is set ⛵ and I'm ready to navigate through the waters as I look forward to unlearning, relearning and continued learning on hive.
