There are two weeks left until my children's most anticipated holiday, and preparations are in full swing! The dinner dishes have already been defined and I am responsible for the drinks. This includes providing juices and waters, soft drinks and non-alcoholic drinks, but also a variety of adult beverages.
But before the event, we still have to welcome the guests! And this is not so easy, as they come from very far away. Brazil is a country of continental dimensions, which means that it is as big as the smallest continent.
And while we wait for the festivities, it would be cool to show off our city and what it has to offer to these noble visitors!
Transport
Our Christmas dinner guests are thousands of miles away. A trip of a few hours by plane will leave our family 400km from our city. This is because commercial flights from the only airport in my municipality are canceled due to financial unfeasibility.
Someone will have to pick them up in the capital, in Curitiba (Paraná).
Accommodation
With some internal organization, we will need to distribute visitors into three families, in order to maintain a relatively balanced number of people that each house can accommodate. This is because in addition to day-to-day tasks, we will have an increase in food, baths, and the entire dynamics of the house will be affected for a few weeks.
Things have to work!
In my family we will receive a visitor, who will be accommodated in my daughter's room. She will be moved to her cousins' house, leaving an exclusive room for him.
We think a lot about how to improve our guest's stay and knowing their profile, we have outlined some things that we can do throughout their time with us!
Visit to Christ the Redeemer
We don't live in Rio de Janeiro, but we have our own Christ the Redeemer. It is significantly smaller, measuring 12 meters, but has the same charm and grandeur.

Considering that its base is 10 meters, the view from up there is very beautiful, and it is worth the visit. I already posted about Morro do Calvário and Cristo Redentor when I visited with my daughter and my niece, in August 2023.
Visit to the gastronomic center
My city has a lot to offer in gastronomy, so we will take a tour of the city's gastronomic center. We will choose a location to take our guest according to the options they select.
- Traditional: Beer with French fries;
- Bold: Meat and craft beer house;
- Elegant: Bistro with a chef trained in France;
- Street food: fairs and local artisanal dishes.
Co-Cathedral Tower
Specially decorated with Christmas themes, the tower is a tourist attraction located in the city center. It allows visits free of charge, with access to the interior using a panoramic elevator.
At the top, two rooms: the first completely isolated with glass and air conditioning; the second, one floor higher, with protective screens and the advantage of feeling the wind and observing the more distant horizon.
Unfortunately, I don't have a recent photo of the current Christmas decorations, so I took advantage and referenced this image taken by a professional photographer, which is much better than the cell phone captures.
Central plaza
Finally, I'm sure we'll visit the city's central square where the fair of regional products takes place, the vast majority of which are produced organically. Various foods and drinks are also sold.
In this square we have the predominant Christmas decoration, and a fountain with water dancing, which is a hit! It is also possible to see the Cathedral Tower, as itand they are relatively close (you can walk).
With these tours, I believe that our guest will feel welcomed and very well received, I imagine that they will like these options.
I ruled out the busiest parks and environments due to our profile, so success is guaranteed.

Olá amigos hivers!
Escrevendo deste lado da tela @crazyphantombr, membro verificado da comunidade Hive Learners, brasileiro e apaixonado pela Hive!
Faltam duas semanas para o feriado mais aguardado pelas minhas crianças, e os preparativos estão a todo vapor! Os pratos da ceia já foram definidos e estou responsável pelas bebidas. Isso inclui prever sucos e águas, refrigerantes e drinks não alcoólicos, mas também uma variedade de bebidas adultas.
Mas antes do evento, ainda temos que recepcionar os convidados! E isso não é tão fácil, pois eles vem de muito longe. O Brasil é um país de dimensões continentais, isso significa que ele é tão grande quanto o menor dos continentes.
E enquanto aguardamos as festas, seria legal mostrar nossa cidade e o que ela tem a oferecer para estes nobres visitantes!
Transporte
Nossos convidados para ceia de natal estão a milhares de quilômetros de distância. Uma viagem de algumas horas de avião deixará nossos familiares a 400km da nossa cidade. Isso porque os voos comerciais do único aeroporto do meu município estão cancelados por inviabilidade financeira.
Alguém terá de buscá-los na capital, em Curitiba (Paraná).
Hospedagem
Com alguma organização interna, precisaremos distribuir os visitantes em três famílias, de forma a manter relativamente equilibrada a quantidade de pessoas que cada casa poderá acolher. Isso porque além das tarefas do dia-a-dia teremos incremento na alimentação, banhos, e toda dinâmica da casa será afetada por algumas semanas.
As coisas tem que funcionar!
Na minha família receberemos um visitante, que será alojado em um quarto de minha filha. Ela será deslocada até a casa dos primos, deixando assim um quarto exclusivo para ele.
Pensamos muito em como melhorar a estadia do nosso convidado e conhecendo o seu perfil, traçamos algumas coisas que poderemos fazer ao longo do seu tempo conosco!
Visita ao Cristo Redentor
Não moramos no Rio de Janeiro, mas temos nosso próprio Cristo Redentor. Ele é significativamente menor, tem 12 metros, mas tem o mesmo charme e imponência.

Se considerar que sua base tem 10 metros, a vista lá de cima é muito bonita, e vale a pena a visita. Já postei sobre o Morro do Calvário e Cristo Redentor quando fiz uma visita com minha filha e minha sobrinha, em agosto de 2023.
Visita ao centro gastronômico
Minha cidade tem a oferecer muita diversidade em gastronomia, então faremos um passeio pelo centro gastronômico da cidade. Vamos escolher um local para levar nosso convidado de acordo com as opções que ele selecionar.
- Tradicional: Chopp com batata-frita;
- Ousado: Casa de carnes e cervejas artesanais;
- Elegante: Bistrô com cheff formada na França;
- Comida de rua: feiras e pratos artesanais locais.
Torre da Concatedral
Especialmente decorada com temas natalinos, a torre é um ponto turístico localizado no centro da cidade. Permite visitação sem custos, sendo a subida pelo seu interior através de elevador panorâmico.
No top, dois ambientes: o primeiro completamente isolado com vidros e ar condicionado; o segundo, um andar acima, com telas de proteção e a vantagem de sentir o vento e observar o horizonte mais longínquo.
Infelizmente não tenho foto recente da decoração de natal atual, então aproveitei e referenciei esta imagem feita por fotógrafo profissional, que fica muito melhor do que as capturas com celulares.
Praça central
Por fim tenho certeza que visitaremos a praça central da cidade onde ocorre a feira de produtos regionais, produzidos na sua grande maioria de forma orgânica. Também são vendidos alimentos e bebidas diversas.
Nesta praça temos a decoração de natal predominante, e um fonte com dança das águas, que é um sucesso! Também é possível ver a Torre da Concatedral, já que são relativamente próximas (é possível ir caminhando).
Com esses passeios eu acredito que nosso hóspede e convidado se sinta acolhido e muito bem recebido, imagino que irá gostar dessas opções.
Descartei os parques e ambientes mais agitados devido ao nosso perfil, então o sucesso está garantido.
