It feels like yesterday when I signed up for a Hive account but this is now my sixth year on this platform.
I started this journey with many others, Some joined before me while some joined the same month or just a few months after me, where are they now? many have left but here I am still standing strong, Why?
Why didn't I stop blogging and follow the same pathway with the people I started this journey? It is because of one factor which is
Contentment and Patience: Some people do not want to plant a seed and water it before they start reaping the fruits, they just want a tree that is already producing fruits and if they don't get that, they abscond to look for another farmland that has ready-made fruit for them to pluck.
Some people left because the hive price was very low, and some left because they were not earning much on their posts, I also faced all these problems but rather than quit the platform, I challenged those problems.
One thing is being satisfied with my earnings, another thing is loving what I do on this platform and that is where engagement comes in.
Engagement and teamwork: This is another lesson that I learned from the hive platform, I realized the power of engagement, it didn't end on the hive blog but also on Discord which is one of the most used social media apps by hive users. Engagement begets connections, connections begets information and that is how it works.
While exploring I met a lot of amazing hivers who made my hive journey fun and easy, They are my source of motivation and information and it feels good to continue this journey with people I shared the same mindset with, people who came to stay, people that came to build on this wonderful hive platform.
Last, but not the least, the hive platform made me a dreamer.
Dreams: A man without a dream is a living corpse, The hive platform is where dreams are awakened, you will just suddenly start having the urge to build your wallet, but this also depends on the people you roll with, if you mingle with people that power down and cash out their earnings you will also join them to do that but if you associate with people that their goal is to power up and achieve certain goals, you will be motivated by their success and also join them in the building.
Learning never ends and I still have a lot to learn from this platform but for the ones I already learned which are also helping me outside the hive platform, I am glad I joined this wonderful blockchain and I hope it last for a lifetime with the friends and allies I made sticking together.
We are the early adopters, and I am curious how far this platform would have evolved in the next ten years.
