I've added just a few more cards to my collection. Here's what I'm sitting on now.
The big addition here is the Amped Zapper. I was not thoroughly impressed the first time or 2 that I played Amped Zapper, but it has grown on me.
My favorite tower to play with is now Twisted Tempest. Amped Zapper and Shattered Mirror are nearly tied for 2nd. In no particular order, I also like Gloom Owl, Knife Tosser, Charnel Pit, Jack's Joke, Dome of the Defiled, Card Sharp, Slime Lord and Fountain of Terror.
It's been interesting, I stopped playing Splinterlands on my secondary account, but I have started playing Soulkeep on my secondary account. I only have duplicates of 4 towers; Gloom Owl, Twisted Tempest, Dome of the Defiled and Fountain of Terror. That's been plenty for League 1 play. I introduced one of my kids to the game and she loves it. I've been letting her play the gateway levels and she's on the 5th one for League 1. In the meantime, I play the daily tournament and I've been satisfied with my placement.
Here's where I'm at with my spells
My favorite spells are Cheapo, Venus Fiendtrap and Raining Cats. Crackle Snap has grown on me as I've started to place it further out from the exit. I've had several opportunities to use it in my secondary account, and it's a good card. I still like Buildmaster, but I don't always use it because I usually think it's better to build another tower instead of making upgrades. When I watch YouTube videos people all seem to think that Heartgiver has to always be used right away to get the points. That may be true, but I prefer some of the other spells that can be used more than once. Scoring more points for each wave seems less important to me than beating more waves.
Moving up Leagues
You get 2 legendary souls when you beat the 5th and final gateway level. They're hard to collect after that. I managed to get 2 more on a tournament one day and I had the time to retry that tournament. I retried it 3 times and only got those 2 legendary souls 1 other time.
So, with league 2 when you find a chance to collect legendary souls in a tournament, you have to pounce on your chance. Hopefully I can get to league 3 for my next post, but I don't know how long it will take me to get those other legendary souls.
