Rusty Cracked Paint: Entry for PhotoFeed Macro Contest #47

The small details of weathered urban surfaces are all over our towns and cities but tend to get overlooked and definitely undervalued. This cracked paintwork on a rusty metal storage tank was a particularly good surface for macro photography as it was flat and therefore fairly easy to get in focus.

As with all weathered patterns every crack on it was different, every flake of paint was different. It's repetition with variation and has a very natural look to my eyes. I'm not totally sure but I think this paint may have been white originally.
