Good evening, amazing people!
In the heart of the surfing area here in my town, San Juan, La Union, there is an arty cafe, gallery, and bed and breakfast for backpackers, surfers, and beach bums. It's called "Dalluyon". Dalluyon is derived from an Ilocano word for waves, and this cafe is just a few steps from the beach. The location is brimming with original artworks from the locals that primarily satisfy everyone's tastes. The atmosphere is so laid-back and relaxed that it is perfect for a getaway.
This cafe is one of my favorites, as it suits my hippie-vibe preferences. The boho-inspired cafe has cottages made of nipa huts and a combination of art and wood that gives it a homey and relaxing atmosphere. It was also decorated with paintings, dreamcatchers, portrait murals, wooden sculptures, driftwood, a stone fire pit, and a Scooby-Doo-inspired van. But one of the things that caught my attention were the windows made of capiz and wood. I didn't notice the first time I entered the cafe, but as I got closer to the windows, I saw some faces drawn on them. It was kind of creepy, but in good taste. I have not seen one like this before. I think it was awesome. I am posting this as my entry to @photofeed's Black & White Photography Round 44.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend, my friends!
