The Giant Burning Man Sculptures Arrive at Chatsworth Stately Home

We went back to the Chatsworth Estate in Derbyshire to see the exhibition 'Radical Horizons: The Art of Burning Man' sculptures.

The event is usually in the Nevada desert in the USA, so it's quite exciting that its landed on our doorstep.

'The Flybrary' is created by Christina Sporrong, which is a library inside a mahoosive human head. It is open at the top with illuminated birds flying out.

You can actually go inside and climb up to the eye sockets. It looked a bit precarious so we decided not to chance it. We didn't want to put any more strain on our national health service.

Next on the list was the mechanical 'Wings of Glory' flying horse created by Adrian Landon. Some of the parts are from an old golf cart and a BMW. Recycling at its best!

I loved 'Mum' by Mr & Mrs Ferguson Art. The bears were hiding in the wooded area.

The bears are actually made up of US cents. That's a lot of saving up!

'Lodestar' is created by Randy Polumbo. It is a flower made from an old military jet. The artist certainly has vision.

The exhibition hasn't officially opened yet, so more sculptures will be revealed.
