Coffee, Cards, and Conversation: A Visit to Work of Love Coffee Shop

Hello, fellow coffee enthusiasts! We have another content for you about coffee shops. If you've been reading our other content, Ange and I enjoy visiting coffee shops that we haven't been yet. We don't like sticking to the well-known coffee shops because some of them are expensive but don't offer quality coffee.

So, on October 31st, yes, during the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Election (BSKE), after voting, around the afternoon, Ange invited me to have coffee here at Work of Love. If you're from Makati, Pasig, or Pateros, I highly recommend this coffee shop, guys! There's no waste in the coffee and food they serve. It was our first time visiting this place because our usual spot was closed due to the election and the holiday.

One of the reasons Ange invited me here is because they had a promotion! Hahaha, yes, we always take advantage of promotions as long as it saves us money. For just 199 pesos, you get 2 coffees, and you can choose the flavor. ❤️☕️

When we arrived, Ange parked her motorcycle, and when we looked inside the store, it was crowded! Ange and I have no choice but to wait and see if someone would leave. Fortunately, in front of their counter, there was a waiting area with three high chairs where you could sit. The vibes inside were super cozy and aesthetic. 😍

Ange and I placed our order, two caramel macchiatos, one of our favorites! However, I only took one espresso shot because I didn't want to become hyperactive, hehe. We also ordered two of their cheesy ensaymada. They don't just sell pastries here; they also have pasta, but since we were both still full, we opted for a light snack.

While waiting for a vacant seat, there were bookshelves next to the waiting area. It wasn't just books; they also had card games that you could borrow when dining in, perfect for playing with your family or friends. But they had guidelines for borrowing them. You had to ask at the counter and provide a valid ID.📚

We quickly took seats when there was an opening. They had more than just tables and chairs, you could also sit on the floor with cushions to make it more comfy.😁

Ange borrowed the card games for friends, even though they were meant for a larger group. Since there were questions on the cards, we made it work by drawing cards and asking each other the questions. It was a great way to get to know each other, haha. Anyway, when our order arrived, their iced coffee was delicious, and the ensaymada was so good, meeting our expectations.👍

Sometimes Ange and I wonder what if we start a coffee shop business someday with a computer or study area, but of course, it would require substantial savings and prayers to make it happen. While playing cards, we didn't notice the time passing because it was getting late, and we had to go to Market! Market! to buy a phone case for my dad. So, we took some pictures because their walls were decorated with beautiful Bible verses.

Kudos to the owner of this coffee shop!😊

It was another achievement and a satisfying craving fulfilled, hahaha, because we discovered a new coffee shop we can recommend to our friends. Not much else happened that day; we immediately went to the mall to buy a phone case and checked out the electronics and gadgets shops since we had some items in mind for when we have our own work and business. While walking around, we also stopped by the activity area, as their Halloween decorations were cute and had a "Book of Life" vibe.🤠

In the end, it was a perfect day filled with great coffee, and the joy of discovering new places – a reminder that life's simple pleasures, like a cozy coffee shop, can make any day extraordinary.💕
