Hail to the Hive!

Today I had plans. Plans to move the boat and then explore a little spot we saw on the way down here but……

Rain stopped play 😞

So it’s probably best to not get soaked to the skin just to move a couple of miles. So what shall I do?

Badger the Narrowboat feels smaller the longer you are forced to stay inside. She has all you need to live but usually we don’t have to spend the entire day inside. I like the outdoors but today that certainly isn’t an option

YUCK!

Ughhhh rain and cold, rain and cold.

So to turn my proverbial frown upside down I will indulge in some drugs……..caffeine will be my saviour and my salvation today.

A nice lovely piping hot fresh brew will cheer me up and have me feeling tickety boo.

And to accompany my lovely brew I will relax and read a book, old school style. Paperback, coffee, the sound of rain hitting the boat outside as I read about some crazy folk that actually took a canal Narrowboat over the English Channel. Complete nutters!

The weather outside may be awful, disgusting, wet & cold but……………

I be toasty, warm and snug in my floating metal tube that keeps me out of the rain and serves as my home, my transport and my salvation, well that and the coffee of course 😉
