Hi everybody. How are you? Are you okay? I hope you can stay healthy. Last week, I met my friend at a cafe in Central Jakarta, Indonesia. The name of the cafe is Melly's Garden Pub & Diner. This cafe is very cozy, but I came at nightfall. I cannot share the beauty of this place.
Before I tell you about this place, I want to let you know if I bought some food and drinks. Of course I ordered coffee. i ordered piccolo latte, tea peach and battagor. batagor is a food from West Java. i like this food. this is my favorite food. I want to tell you about the piccolo latte I bought. Piccolo is a coffee from Australia. Piccolo is Australia's best-selling coffee. This drink is always in cafes in Australia.
This drink is more milk so it tastes a little creamy and delicious. I ordered a piccolo with coffee used is a single espresso. For some, piccolo is a unique coffee. For some people, choosing this drink because they want to try a special coffee with a light roast profile, only added milk, so the sourness of the coffee is balanced with the taste of pure and sweet milk.
I agree with that. The coffee I ordered was small in size. At first, I was afraid this coffee would make me nauseous. It turns out that this coffee is comfortable for my stomach, there is a bitter taste that is not too strong. I love the piccolo made from this place. I want to tell you the history of Piccolo. Coffee comes from Sydney, Australia. Initially this coffee was made because there was a barista who wanted to check Brew and Roast when mixing coffee and milk. This coffee is an alternative to caffe latte.
For many people, a caffe latte will make you nauseous. Especially if you drink a caffe latte all day long. You will feel nauseous. So, Piccolo is the right choice if you want to drink coffee all day long. For some, macchiato and Cortado are considered cousins of Piccolo Latte. Because, it looks very similar. Only the composition of the milk and coffee is different.
I want to tell you the place I visited, melly's garden Pub & Diner. At the entrance, lined up with coffee from various regions in Indonesia. Starting from coffee from Medan, Aceh, Karo, Bali, Java Preanger Gunung Tilu, Bali Kintamani, Flores Bajawa, Toraja Kalosi, Brastagi Karo, Marinate Tanah Karo, Sumatra Pea Berry, Arabica Sumatra Blue Batak to Arabica Sumatra Honey. I'm happy, this place uses coffee from Indonesia. This is very proud.
Oh yes, this place is very crowded at night. In Central Jakarta, it seems this place is only open until 12.00 pm. Due to the pandemic, a number of cafes are open until 10:00 pm. This place is very strategic. But, this place is not on the main road. Very close to one of the big media companies in Indonesia. From the information I got, this place has been open since 2009. This place sells a lot of alcoholic drinks. From the menu that I got, there was wine and some waiters distributed it to certain visitors.
because I am Muslim and wear a hijab, I was not offered wine. This place has two areas. There are indoor and outdoor areas. You can choose the area you like. I chose the outdoor area. This is very cool. I like the atmosphere of the indoor area. There is grass, there are many trees, close to nature. I want to visit this place again. But, if it rains, the indoor area will be very risky. But for the outdoor area, there shouldn't be too many people. It's only 20 people.
Then, there is a delicious menu at this place, namely oxtail soup. He says it is very pure. The meat is so soft and tender. There is also a dessert menu which is also a waffle ice cream. If you look at the menu list, it looks really good. I have to come back to this place. Of course, To try other food. Apparently, this place can be used as a place to work. Because the wifi in this place is fast. That's my story about this place. Hope you enjoy my story.
