Living in a country blessed with abundant sunshine often translates into days drenched in warmth and light. While many enjoy the golden rays, others, like me, find solace in cool, shady, indoor spaces, especially when I seek respite from the scorching temperatures and inclement glare of the sun.

My preference for indoor spaces stems from a desire for a more pleasant temperature. The unrelenting heat of my country, coupled with the glaring sun, often makes outdoor experiences difficult for me. At times, the sun's rays are oppressive and prevent me from enjoying otherwise pleasant moments. Therefore, I am drawn to the comfort of indoor areas, where I can savor my coffee comfortably.

To write this post I looked for a coffee shop in my city that had an open space, but none of them has it outside, the one I chose has an open space inside, with an open ceiling in the central part, from where you can see the beautiful sky, the coffee shop of the Hotel Caballeriza in Holguín (Cuba). Located in the historic center of my city, it has 21 rooms, a cafeteria, a restaurant and a lobby bar. The hotel's design strikes a harmonious balance between openness and shelter, with an open-roofed central area, allowing the cool breeze to pass through.

As I settled in for a few cups of coffee, I pondered my seating options. I was attracted to the idea of enjoying the natural light and the beautiful view of the cloudy sky, but the intensity of the sun made me uneasy. In the end, I opted for the indoor section. It was a wise decision, as I found myself in a comfortable environment. The pleasant temperature, complemented by the soft murmur of conversations and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, created a cozy atmosphere that amplified my overall enjoyment.

I loved the attention in this place, very protocol but at the same time pleasant, as it is a hotel that is dedicated to the attention of tourism. It was my first time there and I found the decoration spectacular, the life-size ornamental horse and the fountain caught my attention.

I ordered a cappuccino coffee first which to my surprise was really delicious, creamy, excellent flavor and just the right amount of cinnamon, what surprised me most was the glass of water and ice that they brought me complimentary, something very rare to see in other establishments in the state and even private ones, where they charge you for water, then I ordered an espresso coffee that was just as good, strong, I was really satisfied with having visited, I hope that next time I can enjoy a lunch there.

In conclusion, my penchant for indoors does not mean that I shy away from the beauty of outdoor spaces; it's about finding balance and comfort amidst the relentless heat and glare, which allows me to fully enjoy moments of relaxation and indulgence.
