REVIEWS "KLINIK KOPI" | COFFEE SHOP RECOMMENDATIONS IN YOGYAKARTA

Hello friend, this is my first time posting in Cinnamon Cup Coffee. This community is the best place for me to share some of my experiences with coffee. I love to drink coffee every day, especially in the morning. So my day will start with coffee, and of course, coffee will give me a good mood to walk during the day.

I'm not a coffee expert, but I have been drinking coffee for a long time, maybe since I got the junior high school until now, my age is 32. I love coffee because of so wide varieties of beans. Perhaps one of you heard about coffee beans from Indonesia, like Gayo from Aceh and Kintamani from Bali. But in Indonesia, is so many beans which never been explored. So this time, I will share with you one of the best coffee shops in Indonesia, located in the province of Yogyakarta, namely Klinik Kopi.

Klinik Kopi buys the beans direct from the farmer. So they visited the coffee garden and bought it from the farmer. And sometimes they give the farmer information and lessons on making a delicious bean. So the price of beans will go up, and this will affect the welfare of farmers.

Klinik Kopi also has a machine for roasting the beans so they can make them with their style. In Klinik Kopi, all of the beans have roasting with a Light Roast profile. I can guarantee you the taste of the coffee is good. The preferences about roasting profile are back to each coffee shop, and maybe the light roasted is the best for Klinik Kopi. On the other hand, the coffee beans are roasted in another coffee shop with a medium profile. So as coffee lovers, what should we do? Just sit and taste the differences in the coffee.

The coffee beans from local farmers in the Klinik Kopi have two processes, one natural process and another honey process. And another coffee beans, using washed and semi-washed method. So the process of coffee is a good thing to know. In Klinik Kopi, we not only drink coffee, but we also can talk with the barista about the coffee beans. The owner is the barista, and he chose the coffee beans by himself. So he knows about the process, and all of the coffee will be served by him. The owner's name is Pepeng, and I call him Mas Pepeng. Mas is the title for an older brother.

Mas Pepeng has a good attitude and serves the customer well and kindly. What you want to know about coffee, he will answer it. And of course, he will give you a recommendation about what you want to drink. For example, if you never drink coffee, he will recommend coffee with a soft taste. In Klinik Kopi, the customer has to get the queue number to buy the coffee because Mas Pepeng will privately serve you. In this coffee shop, you can come here by one or by a group.

Klinik Kopi has their regular coffee to serve for you. with five from local beans and one from other countries. As I mentioned, all coffee beans have been processed in various ways in this coffee shop. So every bean has a different taste from one another. My favorite one is Yellow Caturra.

Yellow Caturra is one of the best coffee beans in this coffee shop. Based on information from Mas Pepeng, these beans have tiny beans, like beans from Ethiopia. Suppose the coffee beans, when ripe, are generally red. These coffee beans, when mature, will be yellow. Yellow Caturra has been processed with a natural process and goes through a long fermentation period that will bring a sweet taste to these beans. This coffee bean is also very limited because the number of trees is tiny. So it was lucky for me when I could taste the coffee and buy it for my coffee supply at home. This coffee comes from the eastern part of Indonesia.

Except Yellow Caturra, also have a five regular beans will be served here. Namely, "Pak Jarwo" from Temanggung, Central Java, "Senggani" from Banjarnegara, Central Java, "Malino" from South Sulawesi, "Padusi" from Solok, West Sumatera, and the last "Diima Chelbesa Danche" from Ethiopia.

All of the coffee will be served with the V60 technique. But the uniquely Mas Pepeng doesn't use a thermometer to check the water's temperature and doesn't use the time to pour the water. And just using scales to check the weight of beans. Maybe the nine years of experience as a barista has brought Mas Pepeng to another level. They say we don't need to war about the technique; coffee is about friendship and family, and I think this is right. What for we debated about technique? All coffee shops have their style. And this is the style in Klinik Kopi. But don't worry about the taste, it is perfect.

It seems incomplete if you drink coffee without dessert. Klinik Kopi has been meried with Dapur Tetangga. Dapur Tetangga is the dessert shop for Klinik Kopi. And the owner of Dapur Tetangga is wife of Mas Pepeng. So they have a unique collaboration. So your wife makes a dessert, and the husband makes coffee. This is a fantastic collaboration.

The dessert taste is also really delicious, and you must order all the deserts when you go here. My recommendation is Choco Tart. The taste of chocolate is delicious, and I can't move on from this dessert's taste. The dessert is baked every day and fresh from the oven. Usually, they make the dessert before the shop opens. The coffee shop is open from 09.00 a.m - 04.00 p.m. And if you want to taste all the desserts, maybe you can come here at 01.00 p.m. But the queue must be long at this time.

If you don't want to drink coffee, don't worry. Here, you can also buy a non-coffee drink, and this recipe was originally from Dapur Tetangga. The non-coffee drink is made from milk and soda with strawberry jam. The strawberry jam is genuine from strawberry fruit and made by hand from Dapur Tetangga.

I almost forgot you could buy the dripper here. Mas Pepeng doesn't use the dripper from branded dripper. But they make their dripper, namely KOKA Dripper. I just purchased this dripper because I love the coffee taste using this dripper. Also, the ambiance of this place is perfect, and you can see the ricefield at the back of this coffee shop. Also, there are so many bamboo trees that make the vibes that are nice and cozy.
