Coffee at Thornbridge Hall: Mind the Ducks!

For our coffee fix today, we visited Thornbridge Hall, which is a Grade II listed stately home, and privately owned.

'Thornbridge 4 Everyone' makes grants to schools, groups and individuals. As the message says, every time you visit, it helps pay for a visit for a child, who maybe can't afford it.

Visitors can pay to look around the lovely gardens or just visit the on site cafe. Some months, the owners offer free entry into the gardens that are described as 'quirky,' so it wasn’t a complete surprise when we found out the cafe was called 'quacker's cafe'.

It was mild enough to sit outside to drink our two lattes and a cappacino, made with soya milk. It wasn't a bad cup of coffee. The nice weather appeared to have enticed quite a few people out.

The pooch enjoyed it as well, even though it didn't seem it with the look on his face!

The couple who have transformed the hall are very community minded and also animal lovers. Motorists have to give way to pedestrians and their wandering ducks! It's definitely my kind of place.
