COFFEE... SPIRITUAL REPRESENTATIVE OF MAN'S HABITS

Lisa still could not get over the shock of witnessing the murder of her great-grandmother Juliana's butler. It had been a very uncomfortable situation. A few minutes ago, she was leaning back on her pillow checking her messages on her cell phone, and suddenly, that loud noise in the lower wing of the mansion made her lean out of the railing above the living room, and see Joaquin, the old butler, struggling with a strange looking individual. It was a matter of seconds before she felt the gun detonate and then saw him fall, covered in blood.

Mrs. Juliana had died a few months ago and Lisa inherited the mansion. Only she, the butler and two maids lived there. Both women arrived at the house when they heard the gunshot, now Lisa had to face the whole process of police and other things. The forensic doctors removed the corpse from the room, and asked the girl to give her statement. She was brief and concise, there was not much to explain, everything was very fast. But she did remember the individual's bearing, his appearance, how he was dressed, although she could not see his face. It was the only help she could give the officers.

The girl felt disturbed for many reasons, she had too many questions in her mind, what was that man doing inside her house? How did he enter? Did Joaquin know him? Why did they fight? No answer, the butler had taken the secret to the grave and the strange man had been swallowed by the earth with everything and his weapon.

The following days, perhaps because she could not get her mind off what had happened and the fear that the man would return, she could not sleep. She liked coffee, she drank it every morning at the beginning of the day, but since what had happened, she had become accustomed to drinking it more consistently. She felt it calmed her restlessness somehow. Maybe that also kept her awake at night, but she didn't care, she was trying to feel better.

The week after the event, she went for a walk on the sidewalk in front of the mansion, she wanted to feel the breeze whipping her face to clear her thoughts. Suddenly, he noticed a coffee shop that he had not seen before, it seemed to be a new place, the truth was that he was struck by what a sign in the window said and decided to enter to see what was true in what was written on that sign.

She didn't know how much truth the advertisement contained, but it didn't hurt to go in and check it out. She really needed something at that moment to bring her back to her normal state, the one that had disappeared days before. When she opened the door, she saw several people sitting at the tables with their cups of coffee of many kinds. It seemed that this detail was not relevant, it could be any type of coffee. A woman standing in front of everyone was giving a talk that seemed very interesting and everyone was listening attentively. Another girl, behind the counter, was preparing the orders.

Lisa approached silently to the counter and asked the young woman how she could join in, and she answered her to place her order and sit at a table to listen to the conversation, and in a few minutes she would bring her coffee. So she did, and took a seat at an unoccupied table in a corner. From there she could see and hear everything perfectly. She managed to take in the conversation when the woman said:

"From the moment coffee arrives in front of us, giving off that exciting aroma that intoxicates us, spiritual contact with it begins. It is an elixir that comes from sacred waters, created to teach men the powerful habits of their lives, those that lead to success.

The great masters have managed to transmit to us its powerful spirituality, and that is why from its aroma to its taste it has become a great source of peace, pleasure, happiness and discipline. It is not only a matter of tasting it, but of feeling it and perceiving that sensation of powerful energy flowing through body and soul at the same time.

Enjoy the process with your coffees, and then let me know about your experiences".

Lisa had not noticed that her order was already on the table, because of the concentration she had achieved in the woman's speech. She had never seen it from that perspective. She deeply perceived the aroma of that cup, and truly, she got great pleasure from it. As she took each sip, she felt something exciting run through her body, how impressive! She had just learned something new, to see coffee as a spiritual source that gave her pleasure and calm. Beyond keeping her awake, she was relaxed. She had never felt this way before, and it made her feel better than she had a few hours before.

She went home calmer, with a new valuable learning, and determined to find in coffee the spiritual source of peace she needed.
