Hace unos días, mientras regaba las plantas, descubrí hojas mordisqueadas por una oruga. Dado que las plantas aún son pequeñas, fue sencillo hallar a la responsable. Lamentablemente, ya no sigue entre nosotros. Lo preocupante es que estas mariposas no depositan un solo huevo, sino que suelen poner varios, por lo que es muy probable que haya más orugas acechando.
Afortunadamente, han llegado, como cada año, mis colegas las avispas. El mismo día en que descubrí la oruga, también observé la presencia de las avispas. Construyen sus nidos en los agujeros del cañizo que tengo en la terraza y alimentan a sus larvas con orugas. Gracias a ellas, las plantas quedan completamente libres de orugas. Sin duda, el mejor antiorugas que existe.
