Hello @ewkaw and FungiFriday Lovers, This is my contribution to FungiFriday by @ewkaw. In Indonesia, entering early March, usually has a warm climate, the sun shines very brightly. But these few days it rained continuously, so the soil became damp and some mushrooms began to grow shyly.
This afternoon I visited the house of a friend of mine who has an oyster mushroom business, he made his own media for growing oyster mushrooms, in Indonesia it is called baglog. Baglog is a plastic which contains sawdust, bran and other materials which are fermented and then given mushroom seeds.
usually in the span of 80 to 90 days, fungal hyphae begin to grow in baglog, the better the quality of the oyster mushroom seeds, the faster the growth of hyphae on the fungus.
In summer like this, mushroom farmers have to water their oyster mushrooms often, if not watered, the growth of oyster mushrooms will be hampered. After a long time at my friend's house, I said goodbye to go home and bought a mushroom gift from my friend (I don't feel good if it was free, so I paid for it), the price of one kilogram of oyster mushrooms is now 25,000 rupiah (USD.1.78).
I will process the oyster mushrooms in a simple way but have a special taste, I will fry the oyster mushrooms with eggs and carrots.
The ingredients that I use to fry the oyster mushrooms are :
1 large oyster mushroom
1 carrot (but I only used 1/2 part)
1 leek
3 eggs
3 tablespoons of rice flour (can also be wheat flour)
3 cloves of garlic
2 red chilies
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper powder (to taste)
5 tablespoons of cooking oil
the way I cook it is with a few very easy steps.
step 1: break the egg and put it in a bowl then add salt and pepper powder into the eggs, beat until slightly fluffy.
Step 2: Thinly slice the garlic and red chilies, then add the sliced garlic and red chilies to the egg mixture
step 3: cut the leek into small sizes then put the pieces of leek into the egg mixture
step 4. cut the carrot into 2 parts, then cut into small pieces (I only used 1/2 part), then put the carrot pieces into the egg mixture.
step 5: wash the oyster mushrooms, separate the hard stems.
then cut the oyster mushrooms into small pieces, put the pieces of oyster mushrooms into the egg mixture, stir until well blended.
Step 6. Enter the rice flour into the egg mixture and stir until well blended.
step 7 : put the cooking oil in the pan and heat the pan.
step 8: put the dough in the pan, I fry it in one frying pan (if you have trouble you can fry it in two frying pans). Don't forget to turn one side so it doesn't burn.
It's time to turn off the stove and serve the oyster mushrooms while they're still warm.
The oyster mushroom taste is so pronounced on the tongue, this dish can be a healthy snack and also a side dish, we can add rice or bread. good luck with the oyster mushroom recipe. my kids really like this dish, they love the slightly sweet taste of oyster mushroom with a soft texture.
thank you for taking the time to read my writing. all photos I take with Iphone 7 plus camera.
