This is my entry for this round
That on the picture above is Kikay, one of my mother's chickens in her backyard. She lays eggs but never sit on them for long to complete the hatching stage of her eggs.
She usually stays here on a chicken coop and every morning she had trouble going down due to her weight. She is old and let's her be as she was too old for to make a chicken soup. Kidding!
Everyday, my mother or my daughters collects her eggs, either to foster them another hen that sits on her eggs or make scrambled eggs when nothing else is for breakfast.
Her long time boyfriend was tethered so he could not go to the neighbors and never return. Whenever she's ready, she comes near him and poof! It's done!
Glad I made it to the contest with it digging up the old photos I took from long ago. I started looking at my files when work was loaded to eme yesterday and I thought I would not be able to join this round as I did in the previous weeks. I can't even remember when I last joined!
But this morning, while coming with my husband to check and repair his motorcycle gear shifter, I saw Kikay waiting for the prefect timing to go down from the chicken coop and took my chance to take pictures as if destiny has arranged such framing opportunity for me.
