I wasn't able to participate in the meeting held last but I have carefully followed and listen attentively to the recorded video of the meeting, I must say I have learned a lot from the video and ready to perform the task.

WHY I MUST AVOID PLAGIARISM

Going by what I have learned through the video, Plagiarism is copying someone's work.
I understood that when you copy more than 30% of someone's work is plagiarism and can face a penalty for that, in the video, we where strongly advise to totally stay away from plagiarism as there are watchers on the chain and can cause you a down vote if caught.
it is not really safe but you can pick a phrase, check it in your own understanding before writing it but don't pick word for word.
I also learned that I should put the > symbol if am quoting a paragraph and write source.

HOW AND WHY WE SOURCE TEXT OR IMAGE ON HIVE.

Before I should come across this lessons, I used to use GOOGLE for sourcing images or text so as to serve my content how I want but through this video I got to understand there are better and safer means to source for your images or text for your content eg pexels and pixabay as authority has been given to users to use images there unlike google you can come across stuffs that permission is not given for them to be used.

Inserting images in your content is very important as picture beautifies your work and gives your work more quality.

WHY YOU SHOULD NOT TAG NUMEROUS PEOPLE ON YOUR POST.

Hivers don't like to be tagged unnecessary, instead we are advice to tag people that in one way or the other We've relate with each other on the chain.
It was advice that we use tags related to our content because some people might not be happy to see if you use tags that are not related to their niche which I must confess I have fallen victim of such but I am well enlightened now.

WHY SHOULD YOU NOT PUBLISH THE SAME ARTICLE TWICE.

I myself wouldn't want to read the same stuff twice, once an information is gotten there's no need to to give that same information rather we were advice to publish new ideas so that people don't get tired of reading our contents.

WHAT IS THE ACCEPTABLE AMOUNT OF ARTICLE YOU CAN POST PER DAY

It was advice that we should not post more than four times at least maximum of two post per day is enough and I got this point that as a newbie, its advisable you post once per day, focus more on the quality of the post.
I digest this to myself it's really best to post one very good quality content than posting more than one but less quality content.
in regards to this same point, I learned that if I should have more than one inspiration to write a post in a day, I can easily write it and safe it as draft so that I can post it next time.

WHAT IS THE IMPORTANCE OF ENGAGEMENT

In this particular section, enough emphasis was made and I tried and follow up all the procedures for a good engagement on HIVE.
Engagement is not underestimated, it is the key to succeed on hive. You can write quality posts and still won't be recognized if you don't engage.

Steps were given on how to engage, I use to run out of what to say after writing my brainstormed sweet comments on people post because when they reply I don't know what to do again but now I understand I can furthermore intelligently engage the person through the same platform for comment maybe then the person won't hesitate to follow me back if I follow him.
There were some comments that was mentioned in the video which we're ask to avoid using words like only "Nice post" it should be more than that, it's advisable we send our comments with a question that will require the person who posted to reply you which from there you can use the opportunity wisely to become friends.

OTHER POINTS I LEARNED FROM THE VIDEO.

One important thing I learned from this video is to be nice, make friends because you'll need them to make the journey interesting.
Also Whale finance tag too, I understood it isn't just a community it's also a tribe I got to find out about some other communities and how they operate e.g the creative coin, hive power mostly first day of the month.

I also learned how relevant it is to up vote other people's work and not pay so much concern on yourself,
I understood CTP (Click talk Profit) is from affiliate marketing group.
One big stuff I grabbed here is that Hive is a decentralized blockchain and it have watchers who are there to make sure that rule is not violated therefore I need to be mindful So as not to fall victim.
