Low Angle Shot
Photography allows us to show the world as we see it, and to do so, we have multiple tools, from lenses to editing programs. But one of the most powerful to influence the viewer are the types of angles: where you place the camera to capture reality.
In photography, a low-angle shot is obtained by placing the camera or device below eye level and looking up, making the subject or object being photographed appear larger, taller and closer.
In a shopping mall near my home, a part of the roof that covers the central part of the building, right where the Food Fair is located, is made of reinforced canvas that is supported by metal masts 30 meters high and a semi-circular platform located in the center, which allows, in addition to reinforcing the set, the access of people to perform maintenance and repair work.
This platform anchored at its ends to the building, has the same width along its entire length, however, at the time of photographing it, I placed my cell phone at an upward angle, that is, looking up, in order to achieve interesting and visually appealing images, which give the feeling of distance in the opposite direction.
As I have described in previous publications, I used the editing tools offered by Picsart and Snapseed applications to intervene the original image to my satisfaction.
La fotografía nos permite mostrar el mundo tal como lo vemos, y para ello, contamos con múltiples herramientas, desde los objetivos hasta los programas de edición. Pero una de las más poderosas para influenciar al espectador son los tipos de ángulos: dónde colocas la cámara para plasmar la realidad.
En la fotografía, un ángulo bajo o contrapicado, se obtiene al colocar la cámara o dispositivo por debajo del nivel del ojo mirando hacia arriba, logrando que el sujeto u objeto fotografiado luzca más grande, alto y cercano.
En un centro comercial cercano a mi hogar, una parte del techo que recubre la parte central de la edificación, justo donde se ubica la Feria de Comida, está elaborada en lona reforzada que está soportada por mástiles metálicos de 30 metros de altura y una plataforma de forma semi circular ubicada en el centro, que permite, además de reforzar el conjunto, el acceso de personas para realizar labores de mantenimiento y reparación.
Esta plataforma anclada en sus extremos a la edificación, posee un mismo ancho a lo largo de toda su longitud, sin embargo, al momento de fotografiarla, ubiqué mi teléfono móvil en angulo ascendente, es decir, mirando hacia arriba, con el fin de lograr imágenes interesantes y visualmente atractivas, que diesen la sensación de alejamiento en la dirección opuesta.
Tal como lo he descrito en publicaciones anteriores, usé las herramientas de edición que ofrecen las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed para intervenir las imágenes originales a mi entera satisfacción.
