To frame is to establish the boundaries that determine the characteristics of something. It also means to put an object, such as a painting, a photo, or a drawing, inside a frame.
A few years ago, I went on a Sunday morning to a call made by social networks for a photographic tour through the central area of the city, promoted by a local community of photographers in order to spread this artistic activity.
On that occasion, we were able to visit different places and buildings of architectural or historical value, without the inconvenience that could generate the influx of people or traffic congestion on weekdays.
These photos with which I participate in this weekly challenge, I took them from an opening in the balcony of the upper floor of a house from the beginning of the last century, which today serves as headquarters for the Tourism Corporation of Barquisimeto, and where it is possible to observe the building of the local mayor's office and the statue of the eponymous hero of the municipality, framed by the masonry used in the construction of the balcony.
As I have described in previous publications, I used the editing tools offered by Picsart and Snapseed applications to intervene the original image to my satisfaction.
Enmarcar es establecer los límites que determinan las características de algo. También significa poner algún objeto, como puede ser una pintura, una foto, o un dibujo, dentro de un marco.
Hace algunos años atrás, acudí un día Domingo en horas de la mañana, a un llamado realizado por las redes sociales para un recorrido fotográfico por el casco central de la ciudad, promovido por una comunidad local de fotógrafos con la finalidad de difundir esta actividad artística.
En aquella oportunidad, pudimos recorrer diferentes lugares y edificaciones poseedoras de un valor arquitectónico o histórico, sin las molestias que podrían generar la afluencia de personas o la congestión vehicular de los días laborables.
Estas fotos con las que participo en este desafío semanal, las tomé desde una abertura en el balcón de la planta alta de una vivienda de principios del siglo pasado, que hoy en día sirve como sede para la Corporación de Turismo de Barquisimeto, y donde es posible observar la edificación de la alcaldía local y la estatua del héroe epónimo del municipio, enmarcado por la mampostería usada en la construcción del balcón.
Tal como lo he descrito en publicaciones anteriores, usé las herramientas de edición que ofrecen las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed para intervenir las imágenes originales a mi entera satisfacción.
