Many among us work for 10 hours or 12 hours into the work. They are under impression that if they do more work they would get more things done. And in this process they fail to measure the impact of their work. They continue to churn and don't understand how do they fail to reach the goals and final outcome.
So how do one should work if not for the quantity and the hours?

Let's talk about when to choose quantity and when to choose impact.
Impact on Variables of Final Outcome
You have to make milk shake with the 1 ltr of the milk. And you are doing the grinding with various fruits and the masala in them for 2 hours. Is that a right way to do? Isn't that overkill in the name of work? Find out what variables are important for the final outcome and only focus on those variables.
Does the outcome requires this much effort?
Sometimes say if you want to impress someone and find out they are already married and strong bond. Would you continue to chase them? Does that lead to outcome change? I think you get the point sometimes spending efforts on those things are useless. And it's always better to stick with outcome that matters. So focus on that part and make the most out of it.
Measure Everything
Start measuring everything when you take action. When you realize what you do does not lead to the outcome, you would perform better in that process. You would also do better overall as the work that gives results is when you improve your variables on which you work on.
Conclusion
When you focus on impact good outcome arrives. If you don't focus on impact and instead focus on quantity, things lead to wrong outcomes. And you would end up thinking why hard work does not pay off. So focus on variables that leads to specific outcome and only do that.
Do you focus on impact or do you focus on quantity?
