I am getting settled in the world of crypto. And my observation are purely based on the patterns in the market. And this means I may not be always correct but I am atleast close enough. Each year I try to track the pattern and turns out those patterns are working out for me.
So what's up with the crypto harvest?
It's the season when people who HODL the coins tend to take the profit. And once the harvest is out, they get back to HODL and hoarding again for yet another cycle. And it has worked out for many people since last few years. And maybe it may work out for few more years.
Each year I notice the February is when the price goes down. And then slowly the price patterns move up and down. You won't get the price like christmas or the October month when the price starts to rise. It just shows you how the crypto has a theme of the yearly price rise. It happens slowly and this would be something you can see in the charts for most of the coins.
Altcoins respond to this theory the most. Bitcoin and Ethereum happen to make this event each year possible. Ethereum also does a good price movement every year. I think the price hike during the season often is not that big but it stays till the January. I have witnessed this especially for the small coins too.
RUNE which is a thorchains token is one that shows some serious price movement. And as the price is going from 3 to 6 you would see that as a strong pattern towards this theory. Same goes with the Bitcoin cash, hive and also steem too. I have yet to see this for some other layer 2 tokens on the other chains but most of the Ethereum layer 2 show the movements too.
Take an example of the Polygon and Optimism. Last year I earned enough from those two coins and the price was pretty high for the season. And getting the funds into the was kind of possible. You may not always agree with this theory but for some this theory has worked out.
Harvest comes every year and how we HODL and how we manage the crypto stash decides our profit.
