( EN / DE ) Thursday was the day again, the HIVE meetup Graz took place at the Lab10 coworking space. The plan is to make it a regular monthly meeting.
Donnerstag war es wieder soweit, das HIVE meetup Graz fand in den Räumlichkeiten vom Lab10 Coworking Space statt. Geplant ist ja, daraus ein regelmäßiges monatliches Treffen zu machen.

Even though the five of us were only a very small group, it was very interesting again (or maybe because of that).
@stayountoftherz came with a "not-yet-quite-hivian" friend from Vienna and it was very nice to meet the person behind the account, with whom I have been writing in the comments for over a year.
Auch wenn wir zu fünft nur eine sehr kleine Runde waren, war es doch (oder gerade deshalb) wieder sehr interessant.
@stayountoftherz reiste mit einem "noch-nicht-ganz-hivian"-Freund extra aus Wien an und es war sehr nett den Menschen hinter dem Account kennenzulernen, mit ich schon seit über einem Jahr immer wieder in den Kommentaren schreibe.
Also present were @richie8012 and of course our organizer @reiseamateur.
@music-nature and @anitaris would have liked to come, but were prevented. We also missed @cpufronz and our sunshine @schmidi, who were both here last time.
Weiters anwesend waren @richie8012 und natürlich unser Organisator @reiseamateur.
@music-nature und @anitaris wären gerne gekommen, waren aber verhindert. Vermisst haben wir auch @cpufronz und unseren Sonnenschein @schmidi, die letztes mal auch beide hier waren.
As you all know I am an absolute ecency fan, yet I learned one thing about peakd that I really like and unfortunately (so far?) is not available on ecency.
Wie ihr wisst bin ich ja ein absoluter ecency User, dennoch habe ich eine Sache über peakd gelernt, die mir sehr gut gefällt und die (bisher?) leider nicht auf ecency verfügbar ist.

Hm, und während ich diesen Post schreibe, stelle ich fest, dass ich im ecency editor keinen peakd link einfügen kann, was mir jetzt eigentlich so gar nicht gefällt, denn auf peakd sieht die Collection mit den Vorschau Fotos viel besser aus.
For me, I will definitely be using this tool for my recipe posts and hive help posts soon.
Für mich werde ich dieses Tool auf jeden Fall für meine Rezepte Postings und Hive Hilfe Postings demnächst verwenden.
HIVE Auth via Keychain
I had seen the presentation at the HIVE fest, but the purpose of the Authentification application was not clear to me until I saw it live in action:
Stayoutoftherz was able to log in with his smartphone on Reiseamateurs laptop without his keys appearing there in any form and for security every action must also be confirmed again with the smartphone.
Very useful! At HIVE meetups, in libraries or worst case, when your own PC is not working.
Ich hatte zwar die Präsenatation auf dem HIVE fest gesehen, aber der Sinn und Zweck der Authentification Anwendung war mir nicht klar, bis ich sie live im Einsatz erlebte:
Stayoutoftherz konnte sich mit seinem Smartphone auf Reiseamateurs Laptop einloggen, ohne dass seine Keys dort in irgendeiner Form aufscheinen und zur Sicherheit muss auch jede Aktion nochmals mit dem Smartphone bestätigt werden.
Sehr nützlich! Auf HIVE meetups, in Bibliotheken oder worst case, wenn euer eigener PC nicht funktioniert.

Natürlich gab es noch sehr viel mehr Themen über die geredet wurde, das Themenfeld ist so groß, dass es nie zu einem Ende kommt, nicht wahr?
A happy organizer and happy participants who had spent a really good time. The next HIVE meetup Graz is planned for January 26, 2023 and we are looking forward to it again.

Until Christmas I will choose one daily winner from the comments on my advents calendar post of the previous day. (8pm CET the next day after the posting day) The one comment that I love the most, that makes me smile, that was very interesting or whatever pleases a woman like me at that moment ;-)
