In Just One Night: The Leaves Gone

Within one night only, these creatures without backbone or even a fraction of a bone made a big difference.

Fellow Hivers, please come with me as I show to you what the small creatures had done to a plant of their choice.☘️

Green Worms on the Move

Can you touch these tiny creatures with your bare hands? For me, it's quite horrible or terrible to touch them. Even at my age, I couldn't touch it directly with my bare hands. It's awful even if they won't harm us. Even if they would become butterflies in their later age, I still couldn't hold them freely. But I never thought they would become my topic for today.

For several years the ornamental plant has existed -I don't know its name anyway- it was only by this time that the worms swarmed over it and consumed all the leaves in just one night. Yes, that's true, one night only.

When I woke up early in the morning, I was struck by what I saw. Worms 🐛🐛 🐛 on the full operation! The shrub, on the other hand, was under siege...😆. So, I called my boys who were never afraid of worms.

They seem to have decided to leave nothing but the twigs and branches. As if it was so delicious for them.

Why Spared the Rest?

But I wonder why the other plant, a vine, was never been touched by the worms. They never tasted the leaves of it. And on that day, after eating all the leaves, all of them disappeared.

With their instinct, they can sense that the plant tastes different from among the rest of the group of plants. It's probably yummy while the rest may be so bitter. The worms seem to enjoy that even the smallest part of the leaves will never be spared for tomorrow except these vine leaves that crawls over it. They snubbed these green leaves...😆.

The Recovery

At first, I was thinking that the plant could no longer recover for itself. I believed that it would wither and die. In fact, there was an apprehensions that if it would die, there will no longer be another plant like it. It was rare kind in our front yard-because it's the only one there.

But, few months later, the plant gradually recovers by having new young leaves to replace what had been lost. The leaves started to green again like they were before. What a sigh of relief I had then...😍.

The Realization

The plant has its own immune system that allows it to recover thereafter. It heals after several days as if nothing had happened to it. We, human beings, we also have our own recovery system that is built within us by our Creator.

In fact, when we're injured, the skin gradually heals by the passage of time. Sometimes, if we have ailments that are not so serious, we can recover even if we don't take medicine. That's possible if we have strong immune system, but if not, we always have the right to consult a physician. For plants, we can also help for their fast recovery from physical problem by our active intervention, just like doctors.

If you consider worms as pests in your garden and protecting your ornamentals or vegetables is your top priority from such harm, there's always an organic way. Avoid using chemicals to protect your health as well.

That's all for today my dear co-Hivers. Thank you for reaching until this part. Thank you for your support.
