Hello fam, good day. Does earning respect have a thing with self esteem?
Most people mistake respect for fear. Believing when one is feared that's respect. Actually the are two different context, there's a differences between being uneasy with a person and being courteous with that person.
When you're courteous you make sure to respect people's feeling in any you can but can still have a good conversation and relationship with them. Having fear can make one not to be uneasy.
For me, i prefer to be respected rather being feared. Mind your boundaries, respect my feelings. By words or deed be courteous, do not be a respecter in a negative way for the sake of whatever kinda of "SHIP" we're sailing in not to cut.
As one who loves respect, i wouldn't want to trespass, for me not to disrespected. Because most times our actions can go a long way to say what we're not. Even at that i would want to earn my respect and not command it
