The Lion Man

In the heart of Africa,
Where the sun beats down
And the savannahs stretch
For miles and miles around

There lived a man unlike any other
With hair as golden as the sun
And eyes that shone with a fierce light
Like a lion's, he was second to none

He roamed the plains with grace and power
A king among the beasts
And all who saw him were filled with awe
As he roared and hunted with ease

The Lion Man, they called him
A legend, a mystery, a wonder
For he was both man and beast
A creature of thunder

Some said he was cursed
Others, that he was blessed
But none could deny his courage
His strength, his fearlessness

For years he ruled the savannahs
With a roar that shook the earth
And all the animals bowed to him
For they knew his true worth

But one day, a hunter came
With a heart full of greed,
And he aimed his gun at the Lion Man
Intent on making him bleed

The Lion Man saw him coming
And he knew what he had to do
He leapt forward with a mighty roar
And the hunter's fate was sealed, it's true,

From that day on, the Lion Man
Was seen as a hero, a savior
For he had protected his kingdom
With a bravery that never wavered

And though he eventually passed,
Into the realm of myth and legend
His spirit lives on in the hearts
Of those who knew him, and those who reckon

That the Lion Man was more than just a man
More than just a beast,
He was a symbol of courage and power
A legend, never to cease.
