Although it is a concept that has been coined approximately since 2000, the idea of One Health has acquired particular importance in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Aunque que es un concepto que se viene acuñando aproximadamente desde el año 2000, la idea de One Health ( Una Sola Salud en español) ha adquirido particular importancia en medio de la pandemia del Coronavirus.
🔵The One Health concept refers to a three-dimensional vision of World Public Health that includes:
👨Human
🐷 Animals (wild and domestic)
🍃 Environment.
Traditionally medicine, veterinary medicine and environmental health had been treated separately.
But the increase in human interaction with ecosystems inhabited by various animal species, gave rise to the expansion of viral spills (Spillovers) transmitted from animals to humans (zoonosis).
In addition, the growing human development in the field of transport facilitates the accelerated spread of viruses, which is why it is essential to create early prevention and control mechanisms.
That is why Organizations such as WHO (World Health Organization), FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations) and the OIE (World Organization for Animal Health) have been promoting the concept for some years now ONE HEALTH, forming multidisciplinary work teams in which Doctors, Veterinarians and Agronomists participate with the aim of conducting research and creating protocols that allow the prevention, early detection and control of zoonoses, as well as promoting the development of vaccines and antidotes against to future viral outbreaks.
However, this project has encountered various obstacles to its growth and implementation.
One of those big obstacles, in my opinion, is the lack of political will to design strategies for creating, financing and developing One Health teams.
I will explain it to you in another way.
🔴El concepto de One Health se refiere a una visión tridimensional de la Salud Pública Mundial que incluye a :
👨Humanos
🐷 Animales ( silvestres y domésticos)
🍃 Medio ambiente.
Tradicionalmente se habia tratando por separado la medicina, la veterinaria y la salud ambiental.
Pero el aumento de la interracion del hombre con ecosistemas habitados por diversas especies de animales, dio origen a la expansión de derrames virales ( Spillovers) transmitidos de animales a humanos (zoonosis).
Además, el creciente desarrollo humano en materia de transporte facilita la expansión acelerada de los virus, motivo por el cual se hace imprescindible crear mecanismos de prevención y control tempranos.
Es por ello que Organizaciones como OMS ( Organización Mundial de la Salud), la FAO ( Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Alimentación y la Agricultura) y la OIE (Organización Mundial de Sanidad Animal) desde hace ya algunos años han venido impulsando el concepto de ONE HEALTH, conformando equipos de trabajo multidisciplinarios en los que participan Medicos, Veterinarios y Agrónomos con el objetivo de realizar investigaciones y crear protocolos que permitan la prevención, detección temprana y control de zoonosis, así como también impulsar el desarrollo de vacunas y antídotos frente a futuros brotes virales.
Sin embargo, este proyecto han encontrado diversos obstáculos para su crecimiento e implementación.
Uno de esos grandes obstáculos, a mi modo de ver, es la falta de voluntad política para diseñar estrategias de creación, financiamiento y desarrollo de equipos de One Health.
Se los explicaré de otra forma.
🔵Designing policies that favor the promotion of One Health teams and even the creation of a World Agency in this matter, would imply a greater control and tightening of the rules of sales of wild animal species.
This industry is the most lucrative in the world after drug trafficking, which implies the affectation of great economic interests.
Furthermore, the prevention and early detection of viral outbreaks is one of the fundamental approaches of One Health. By preventing zootonic viral outbreaks, preventing their spread and contagion, the activity of the monstrous World Pharmaceutical industry is directly affected, which reports higher incomes with the production and sales of vaccines, for which the contagion and spread of diseases is necessary.
According to experts in the field, 60% of the viral pathogens that affect humans come from domestic and wild animals, so it is vitally important to promote this new paradigm of World Public Health, in order to avoid new pandemics .
🔴Diseñar políticas que favorezcan el impulso de equipos de One Health e incluso la creación de una Agencia Mundial en esta materia, implicaría un mayor control y endurecimiento de la normas de las ventas de especies de animales silvestres .
Esta industria es la la más lucrativa a nivel mundial luego del narcotráfico, lo que implica la afectacion de grandes intereses económicos.
Por otra parte, la prevención y la detección temprana de brotes virales es uno de los enfoques fundamentales del One Health. Al prevenir brotes virales Zootonicos, impidiendo su contagio y propagación, se afecta directamente la actividad de la monstruosa industria Farmacéutica Mundial, que reporta mayores ingresos con la elaboración y ventas de vacunas, para lo cual es necesario el contagio y expansión de las enfermedades.
Según los expertos en la materia el 60% de los entes patógenos virales que afectan a los humanos provienen de animales domésticos y salvajes, por lo que es de vital importancia impulsar este nuevo paradigma de la Salud Pública Mundial, a los fines de evitar nuevas pandemias.
🔵For this it is necessary:
🐼 Change our consumption patterns so that there is a more harmonious coexistence between humans, animals and the environment.
🐼 Create laws that control the trafficking and sale of wild animal species.
🐼 Avoid the movement of species to human habitats. Generally this occurs when the effect of human action on the ecosystem of a certain species is seriously altered, forcing them to move to survive.
🐼 Promote the creation of a World One Health Agency.

🔴Para ello es necesario:
🐼 Cambiar nuestros patrones de consumo para que exista una coexistencia más armoniosa entre humanos, animales y ambiente.
🐼 Crear leyes que controlen el tráfico y venta de especies de animales silvestres.
🐼 Evitar el desplazamiento de especies a hábitat humanos. Generalmente esto ocurre cuando por efecto de la acción humana el ecosistema de una determinada especie se ve gravemente alterado, obligando a estas a desplazarse para sobrevivir.
🐼 Promover la creación de una Agencia Mundial de One Health.
