This type of tree is very popular for Leis in Hawaii. It’s flowers are the most frequently used for Flower Leis in Hawaii. (Flower Necklaces). It Smells very good and very few bees today. The tree is a lot of work because it sheds flowers every day and kills the grass. The branches leak a white sap when you break them, that burns if you get it in your eyes and reports say it can cause blindness. The tree grows fast, I have had a few on my property.
