Relic from the past

Once upon a time there were lifeguard stations like this in Long Beach. Actually this is one of the smallest. It is still around because it was small enough to relocate it. At one time the lifeguards even lived in them during the winter months or off season you might call it. That was 9 months long. Now summer almost never ends here. I was able to go in one of those back in the 70's before it got destroyed by waves eroding the beach. I can tell you I would have loved living there and getting paid to do it!
Of course back then there were millions less people nearby and the nearby homes were not selling for 5 million dollars.

Pretty much unrelated but pretty cool anyway

"Is that concrete all around? Or is it in my head"
