It was really, really good. Had Laura Dern, Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Zoe Kravitz and a slew of other actors who rounded out the Cast.
As you may remember...
the setting takes place in beautiful Monterey, CA. ( in Northern, CA.) My wife and I traveled there 10 years ago and so far it's the most beautiful place on Earth I have visited.
Much of the 2 season 14 Episode Series...
centeres around Nicole Kidman's character who was married to a psychopathic abuser. He was constantly physically and emotionally beating her up. A real wacko !!
The end of the first season...
he is kicking her in the stomach with four of her girlfriends who are standing there trying to thwart him off in public. Finally Zoe Kravitz's character pushes him down the stairs near by and he falls to his death.
The second season...
involves all the Lives of the five girlfriends and the trials and tribulations surrounding their lives. Their lives intersect with trying to keep the story straight ( lie) of the death of the psychopathic husband as him losing his balance and falling down the stairs on his own accord.
Although...
the police are suspicious about all this ,the five girlfriends manage to maintain their story.
Until...
the last shot of the entire series which ends with all five girls going into the police office; with the assumption that they are going to tell what exactly happened to the deceased psycho hubbie.
Conclusion...
I read on the internet that they are probably not going to continue this series on HBO. Which is too bad. As it definitely is compelling TV to watch. I give it a 9 out of 10 stars.
Definitely worth viewing.
