Current Event. January 12, 2022. Kazakhstan Coup Attempt Failed and Russian Troops Leaving

President Tokayev of Kazakhstan announced the failure of a coup attempt, according to him, disguised as a fuel rise protests.

The 3000 Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) troops, led by Russia, that arrived in Kazakhstan to help restoring the order are going to leave in the next 2 days. It has been reported that approximately 10000 people have been arrested because of their violent acts including looting. 168 people are reported dead.
